The whole time today at work I've had to do family related tattoos. Mother and daughter themed. Father and son, and dads coming in and wanting their kids names and birthdays permanently tattooed on their bodies. Everytime another person came in wanting one of those tattoos, I became more upset. I got upset because I knew I'd never have a chance to get one of the mother and daughter tattoos. And my dad didn't have a chance to get my name and birthday tattooed on him. I was finishing up my last two clients of the day. Yet again; a mother and daughter tattoo. Both on their forearms, two different colored flowers, and the stems turning into the words mother and daughter.

"Danica, go ahead and get outta here" Clark laughed. "Go get yourself a bachelor." I laughed slightly at the fact Mystic Falls held a fundraiser where you could win a date with the most eligible bachelor's.

"Sure thing Clark" I smiled, grabbing my things. "Just for you. See you later." I got into my car, and made my way to the grill where the event was being held. Walking into the Grill, I was a little unsettled. All the females that were participating were all older than I was. And I'm sure older than some of the bachelors. Walking up to Caroline who was behind the table, I was met with a blonde boy with blue eyes, Elena, and an older looking woman.

"I just hope I don't get number three. Dated him in high school. Not impressive" the older one said, before walking away.

"Mom?" I asked the blonde boy to which he sighed and nodded.

"Yeah" he replied, before walking away. I gave Caroline a five dollar bill.

"Whatever that'll get me" I told her, to which he nodded. "Thank you-"

"I'm sorry about what I said at the dance" Caroline blurted out. "I was out of line, and I shouldn't have said that. Especially when Elena was trying to get us to be friends."

"Its okay, Caroline" I glanced at Elena. "All is forgiven." Caroline sighed in relief, giving me three tickets. "I'll see you two later" I smiled at the two. I walked over to the area where Mrs. Lockwood was naming off the bachelors.

"Bachelor number three, what do you do?" She asked.

"I'm a plumber" he replied, proud of himself. I eyed the bachelors up, my eyes lingering on Damon. He's a bachelor alright.

"That's wonderful. We all need a little plumber in our life" Mrs. Lockwood said, making everyone laugh. "What about you, Alaric Saltzman? Wow that's a mouth full."

"Yeah" Alaric laughed slightly. "I'm a teacher at Mystic Falls High School."

"Ooh, beauty and brains. What do you teach?"

"I teach History" Alaric responded.

"Oh okay. So what's something crazy about Mystic Falls?" She asked.

"Well, uh-" Alaric paused.

"He must be saving the best stories for his date" Mrs. Lockwood laughed. "Damon Salvatore. We don't have much on you."

"Its hard to fit me on a card" he joked.

"Okay, well tell me something about you. Do you like traveling?"

"Oh yeah. LA, New York, West Virginia. Duke, actually. That's where you went isn't it Alaric? Your wife was pretty good looking. In fact, she was delicious."

"I need some air" I heard Elena say, and I turned to look behind me. Stefan followed Elena out. I turned to look back at Damon. What game is he playing? Apparently being at work for one day makes you miss out on a bunch of things.

I hung out around with Caroline, the people who won dated with the guys came up to give her their winning tickets. Turns out Blondie with the blue eyes' mother won the bachelor she didn't want. Which, I personally found hilarious.

"Congratulations Ms. Donovan" Caroline smiled up at her.

"Okay, enough of that. Maybe you tricked Matt with your happy voice and cute words, but you're not going to get passed me. You're fake, just like your mother."

"And you're being a rude bitch" I stepped in. "Just like your mother was, I'm sure."

Ms. Donovan scoffed before saying "tell my date I'll be at the bar."

"Holy crap. You just did that" Caroline laughed slightly.

"Yeah, I did" I smiled slightly at her.

"Number 3366" Mrs. Lockwood called out.

"Oh, who do I get? Alaric, or Damon?" I asked her, since I wasn't paying attention.

"Damon" Caroline responded. I gave her my winning ticket, and nodded.

"I'm going to the bar" I told her, before going over to it. If Damon wanted to find me, he would. I was just going to have one drink...

One drink turned to three and the blonde, who I learned was Matt called me a cab. He made sure i got to the cab, helping me inside. I gave the cab driver the address to the Salvatore Boarding House, which only took what seemed like ten minutes to get there.

"Thank you kind sir" I joked, handing him some money before getting out. I stumbled once I got to the door, but caught myself before I hit the ground. I turned the knob and stepped inside. Still don't lock the door yet I see. "Stefan" I mumbled, seeing him sitting on the ground. "Stefan, what happened?" I asked, rushing over once I realized a dead Alaric in front of him. I kneeled down next to Alaric and Stefan.

"Damon realized. He's going over the edge. Katherine broke his heart" Stefan mumbled. "Alaric went at him, and so Damon's solution was to kill him." I sighed, wrapping my arms around myself. Alaric's fingers twitched, and I nudged Stefan. "Look" I pointed at Alaric's hand. Alaric gasped awake and I shrieked. "You were dead!"

"My ring. It brought me back" Alaric spoke in disbelief.

"That's impossible" Stefan said, furrowing his eyebrows.

"I know" Alaric responded.

"I stood up while saying " I once thought vampires were impossible. Now look where I'm at." I turned toward the stairs, climbing up them. "Damon Salvatore!" I yelled, stumbling at the top step. I stomped up to his door, and he peeked his head out.

"Yes dear?"

"Don't you "dear" me. You ditched out on our date to come home and kill Alaric. Which isn't a nice thing to do. I had to drink alone" I pouted.

"I'm so sorry. Please forgive me" he said, copying my expression. He came out into full view, showing me he was shirtless, and his black jeans unbuttoned. My eyes flitted down to his bare chest, before I forced myself to look up into his eyes. I took a deep breath and he smirked.

"Fine" I scowled. "You owe me a date. And don't let it happen again."

"Yes dear."
