" Are you ready ? " Jenny asked as she pulls up to the parking lot of Norton's department store.

" Duh.." Edna says and unbuckles her seatbelt.

Just yesterday, right after cleaning the hidden room, they decided to go shopping the next day so here there are. It's a Saturday afternoon, a good time to go out, but unfortunately Jenny and Edna were the only available ones today.

" I can't believe you can actually drive... " Edna says as they both got out the car.

" Well... since my brother doesn't go out often anymore, I can use his car. " Jenny puts her car keys into her shoulder bag and walks aside Edna.

They entered the store but since the town is small, only a few people were around and not many supplies were in stock. Edna pulls out a list of all the things they need and read it aloud for Jenny to hear.

The things that are listed are all the decoration supplies they need for the hidden room and in total there are 16 things they need to buy.

" How much did you bring ? " Edna asked after reading through the list.

" Like fifty five dollars. " Jenny says. They head over to the paint area. Since the room looks like a jail, they planned on repainting the cemented walls.

" I brought fifty... will it fit ? " Edna looks at Jenny, a bit worried that their money wouldn't be enough.

" Of course! Not everything here is expensive. " She picks up a bucket of paint and checks the price... " 22.35 ?! " She gasped. They both looked at each other...

" Let's spend it wisely yeah ? " Edna asked and Jenny nods in agreement.

Edna left to get a cart while Jenny went the other aisle to get some paint brushes and rollers.

It took them a while to finish off everything on the list. So by the time they left the store, it's already 6 in the afternoon.

Jenny rolls down the windows of the car and pulls out of the parking lot while music played through the radio. " I don't think we still have time to decorate. You want to do it tomorrow ?" She asked Edna as she drives down the highway.

" Sure... I think the others are free tomorrow. "
Edna answers. She looks out the window and watches the sun set below the horizon. The sky is colored in all different shades of orange and purple, making the town a bit more beautiful.
" You know, this town is actually pretty. " She says.

Jenny looks over at Edna's window, and saw what Edna was seeing. She averts her attention back on the road and lets out a big sigh...
" Pretty yet disgusting.." Jenny says.

Edna chuckles.. " True.."

There was a moment of silence between the both of them, and the only sound that was filling up the air was the music of a country song playing on the radio. Edna stares out the window once again and little by little the sun was disappearing. She breathes in the cold air that was coming through the window, while thoughts clouded in her mind.

Thoughts that bothered her the most. It was them. The people she was starting to get close with. The people she was starting to care for.

She doesn't know what to feel. All she knows is that she's scared. She's scared because she never felt this type of happiness before in her whole entire life or scared because after everything, she'll lose it. She'll lose her happiness.

and her happiness is... them.

The car stops, and Edna's attention was back to reality. Jenny parked at an empty parking lot and reached over to get her shoulder bag at the back seat.

" Where are we ? " Edna asked.

" You think I want to go home after shopping like that ? Come on. " Jenny says. She reaches inside her bag and pulls out a small wallet..
" I got change.. Let's get some coffee. " Jenny unbuckles her seatbelt quickly and gets out of the car.

Edna does the same and they head inside this small cafe.

Not many people were around. The only customers in was the both of them and an elderly man sitting at the corner of the shop, reading a newspaper. Winchells is by far Jenny's favorite coffee and doughnut shop, even if it's the only one in town.

" Have you been here before ? " Jenny asked. Edna shakes her head side to side.

" Well... their coffee is the best. My treat. " Jenny opens her mini wallet and pulls out her change, and by change she meant coins.
" Count this for me..." Jenny chuckles and hands Edna half of the coins. Edna laughs and counts it right away. They spent all of their money buying all the supplies, which lead Jenny using the coins she's been saving up.

After buying their coffee, they settled down at the table near the old man. He gives the both of them a smile and continued reading his newspaper.

Jenny and Edna talked about how they'd design the room while drinking their coffee.
It took them a bit of an argument to decide on which side of the walls they'd paint blue and white. But they settled on painting it white then overlap it with the blue paint.
" That's much better..." Jenny sighed, as they finished off their planning.

The old man gets up from his seat and the both of them watch him as he cleared up his mess. He turns to face them, a grin appearing on his face.

" You girls must be high school students. " He said.

" Yeah.." Jenny answered immediately. Edna kicks her on the leg and gave her a " Do you want to die." Kind of face. Jenny grunts in pain but still manage to act nicely in front of the old guy. The first thing Edna learned while growing up was to never talk to strangers. But Jenny was too dumb to understand that.

" Well.. I hope you girls enjoy it yeah ? Enjoy it while it last. Live to your fullest. High school is a big part of your life. " The old guy laughs cheerfully. The both of them turns their head to face each other with a smile displayed on their face. Then they both look back at the old guy again..

" I'm off.. see ya girls around. " He says.

" Thank you sir.. " Jenny tells him and he makes his way out of the exit door.
