Students have gone home and the campus is finally desolate, making it peaceful. Unfortunately, it lasted for only a while.

Screams and cheers were heard throughout the hallways from the detention class. If anyone were to hear them, people nearby may think someone is being murdered.

Edna shouted at the top of her lungs as Jack drops a card. Signaling her to pick up 8, and the game goes on and on right after not until someone makes a mistake.

"Who dropped this?" Jenny asked, pointing at the card in front of them after getting distracted by Edna's bickering.

"Yeah who?" Neil was confused as well.

"Don't tell me we have to restart again." Edna rolled her eyes in annoyance. Bea sighs out loud and gathered all the cards from the floor and from their hands, shuffling them again.

"You guys totally suck at keeping up. What time is it anyways? It felt like we've been playing for hours." Jack complained, and they all look at the clock displayed at wall.

Their mouths dropping open after seeing the time.

"It's only been 20 minutes!" Neil shouted, and they all groaned in frustration. It took them about a minute to suck it up.

"One more game?" Bea asked, and the rest of them had no choice but to agree. While she shuffles the cards, Jenny rushes to use the restroom at the back of the classroom. Locking the door behind her, she grimaced at the dirty toilet seat, and wiped it with a bunch of tissue and settled down.

Her eyes wandered everywhere as she does her business, and it lands on a small window just a few inches high in front of her, with no padlocks at all.

She stares at the window with her mouth agape widely.

No way.

"Guys! It's a miracle!" She rushes out the restroom, and the others turn to look at her.

"Huh?" Neil looked confused, and so was the rest of them.

"There's a window in the restroom, and I don't think it's lock." She tells them.

It took a while for the others to fully register what she had said, and once they finally understood what she meant, they shared a look of surprise at one another and they all rush to the restroom.

They were all cramped inside.

"Can you reach it?" They all asked Jack, and he reaches his arms up and opens the window with just one pull. The fresh warm breeze creeped through the open space, and they all cheered with their arms raised in the air.

Grabbing their bags, Jenny brings a chair with her for the rest of them to climb on. But before they could start jumping out of the window, Bea stops them immediately.

"Is this a good idea? What if we get in trouble again?" She asked worriedly, remembering that she had earned two red slips today, and she can't bear to earn another one.

This is breaking out of detention and God knows what will happen if they'll get caught. An extra detention wouldn't be enough. They'll most likely get suspended.

"You really are innocent," Jack said as he slings his bag over his shoulders.

"It's better than staying in here Bea. We need to get out and my mom will kill me if I'm not home yet before five," Edna tells her and the rest of them nodded their heads in agreement.

It took a while for Bea to agree though, but she thought about her mom as well, and how much she'll freak out once she finds out that her eldest daughter is not home yet to watch her siblings.

Bea gives a slight nod and they start shuffling around the restroom, ready to escape.

"Wait!" Jenny said out loud gathering all of their attention again. "Our phones. We need to get our phones. I can't live without it," For a girl that lives each day drowning herself in social media, Jenny can't leave without getting her phone back.

"OH GREAT! Another problem! " Neil drops his bag, and slumps himself down on the toilet seat. They all stand there, not knowing what to do now. They needed their phones back but Mr.Edgar has them with him.

As minutes flew by with contemplation, none of them said anything. None of them even bothered to move from their spot. But with much luck and fate, Jenny came up with a plan. A crazy one actually.

"I have a plan but it'll sound crazy," She said in a low voice, gathering their attention.

"What is it?" Edna asked.

"Just follow me..."

With no hesitation, Jenny makes her way out the window. The rest of them followed, and Jack stayed behind to help the others get out with a hand.

Once everyone was out, they followed Jenny to the center of the school ground, and towards Mr.Edgar's classroom.

They hid behind a huge dumpster, and watched carefully through Mr.Edgar's window to see if he's there. Thank the God above, his old frail figure was seated on his wheel chair, busily typing on his computer.

"Okay he's there. Now what's the plan Jen?" Neil asked.

"Listen carefully okay? One mistake and we will get caught. Jack I want you to knock on his door, and run. Make a lot of noises. Scream or shout. Do anything to get his attention so he can get out of his classroom. The rest of us will break in and get the phones. We meet at the back gate." She explained it quickly, and they nod their head in agreement to the plan, except Jack who seemed a little off the end.

"Okay... good plan but why me?" The look on Jack's face tells how scared he actually is.

"Because I know you are a fast runner. Do you think we run fast?" Jenny asked, trying to convince Jack on doing the plan. The rest of them gave him a pleading look, hoping that he'll give in, even though there's a slight chance that this plan will work.

"Fine, but you all pay me a dollar if this turns out good or bad." He said and he makes his way to Mr.Edgar's classroom.

Well... that makes it 2 dollars in my wallet. Bea sighed to herself.

"Wait now?! What the hell! He didn't give us a head start!" Edna whispered out loud.

"Wait shhh." Neil shuts her up, and they all watch Jack carefully and waited for their signal. He knocks on the door with loud bangs reverberating throughout the entire campus, then he shouts on the top of his lungs and ran down the hallway to the other building which led Mr.Edgar rushing out his classroom chasing after the boy.

"Okay Now!" Jenny leads them into his classroom, and hurriedly lock the door behind her.

"Hurry and find it," She said, joining into the search with them. They all look around the classroom quickly. Every drawers, every closets, and every storage bins, but nothing. No phones.

"Here! I finally found it!" Bea yelled, holding the basket in her hands. She shoves the phones inside her bag for now, and placed the basket back to its proper place.

They rush out the classroom, and right before they make a run for it, shouts were heard at the other end of the hallway. They turn around to see Jack running towards them, fear displayed in his eyes.

"RUN!" He shouted. "The school guards!!" He runs pass them, and whistles were heard from where he came from. Seeing the visible white uniforms turning at the corridor, they start to run as well, following Jack along the way out the campus.

They ran as fast as they can, out the buildings and out the back gate. Running past the parking lot that is only reserved for school employees, half of it now empty.

They stopped at a dead end, and the school guards are now surrounding each open direction. The only way out now is by going through the dark woods ahead of them.

Knowing that stopping here will only get them into so much trouble than they were, they had no other choice but to run for it.

"Let's go!" Jack runs into the woods.

The rest followed.
