Halfway through finals week, everyone is losing their mind because in Norton High, exams are a big deal. By the end of the week, they'll be posting the grades and ranks on the bulletin board. Sounds pretty cliche but trust me, it's torture. Imagine the whole school seeing that you're placed on the " need special assistance" because you ranked on last place. It's embarrassing.

During the past few days, Edna felt a little off because of her dad situation but she tried her best to act normal. She thought about skipping school for the week, but all her hard work in studying will be a waste. There'll be no make up work, so if it's an F in her exam then it's an F. That's how strict the school is.

Neil on the other hand, was totally relaxed. All he knows is that he'll ace it, just like he always does every test day. So when classes started, and all final exams were passed out, he winged it.

Jack though, was regretting a lot of things. He was too focused on his valentine plan, and basketball practice that he didn't had time to study anything. So throughout testing time, all he did was stare at his test paper, hoping every question will answer itself.

Jenny was on the verge of breaking down though. Unfortunately, she forgot half of the things she studied, and will probably flunk her exams.

And Bea... she would always fall asleep during half of testing time, so she wasn't able to finish any of her exams. Probably because of the lack of sleep she had during the past few days.

When classes was over, they all met at the club room, releasing all the stress that were bottled up inside them.

" I slept! I slept through half of my exams again! " Bea says out loud in despair.

" Excuse me ? I forgot half of what I studied. So guess who flunked the test too." Jenny says and waves her hand in the air.

" Same here. I couldn't focus on my test that much." Edna complains as well.

Jack bursted into laughter. " You guys are funny. I didn't even answer any of the questions. " He says.

Neither of them laughed. Instead, they look at Jack as if he was a lunatic.

" You do know that they'll call our parents about our results right ? " Jenny says, shaking her head side to side in complete distress. Jack's laughter faded away immediately after she said that. He totally forgot about the new rule the principal announced last week. Unfortunately, they'll be calling parents if  results are at 60 percent and below. Jack was frightened about this, especially that his mom expects him to be a scholar in school. She'll probably force him to quit basketball, which is Jack's worst nightmare.

They all look at Neil who was busy polishing his nails at the other side of the room.

" What about you ? How's your exams ? " Edna asked him. They all waited for him to answer.

" It was pretty easy. I think I aced it all. " He says right after polishing his pinky nail. He raises his hand in the air, getting a better view of his polished nails.

" Lucky for you. " Bea tells him.

Neil gives them a warm smile and continued on to what he was doing. Since they're fully aware of who he is, he started being more of himself towards them, and Neil, for the first time, felt comfortable being himself.

" Anyways, we have two more days until exams are over. Do you guys want to hang out after school on Friday ? " Jenny mentions, averting her attention back to the others.
