The whole school was in madness throughout the entire week. After the unexpected news about homecoming, everyone has been trying to ask their dates. Mostly half of the students in Norton High are excited for it.

" Are outsiders allowed ? " Neil asked, feeling a little dejected. From what he heard from the other students, outsiders aren't allowed in school events, so probably Neil isn't able to bring Rj along as a date to the homecoming.

" It isn't confirmed yet... I think they'll allow." Edna said, but her eyes are focused on the book she was reading.

" Since Jack isn't available. Who are you girls going with ? " Neil asked, averting his eyes towards the three girls in front of him. Edna doesn't take her attention away from the book, and Jenny was too busy braiding her own hair.

Bea just shakes her head, unsure what to tell Neil. After the incident about Carl, she had no intentions attending another party. The trauma still haunts her everyday, so she doesn't see herself enjoying another night at a party. Hopefully Neil understands her. He expects all of them to go together again, but Bea can't help but back out on this one. " I don't think I could go. " She says. Everyone averts their attention to her, and her hands fidgets anxiously.

Jack looks at Neil, and signaled him with his eyes that he shouldn't force Bea. By this, Neil nods his head, and pats her on the back. " We understand. "

The school bell rings, signaling them that lunch break is finally over. Once the three girls were out of the club room, Neil stopped Jack from leaving. " Who are you going with ? Lizzy or Kyla ? " Neil asked.

It took a while for Jack to comprehend the question. He hasn't made a decision yet. After confessing his feelings he had for Lizzy, a part of him held onto the fact that possibly... Kyla will be able to like him back someday. Meaning, he couldn't get over Kyla.

" I mean, I know you like both of them but you  eventually need to pick one... you know that right ? " Neil said as he adjusted his bag on his shoulder.

" I know... I just- I know I like Lizzy. But Kyla is still in my mind every time I wake up every morning, or before I go to sleep. I don't know what I feel... " Jack sighs.

Neil shakes his head, feeling bad for his best friend. He can't force Jack or choose who he should pick. But whoever Jack decides to bring to the homecoming, Neil has no chose but to support him, and accept his decision. "I'm still rooting for Lizzy... " Neil eyes him, making Jack chuckle.

" I should probably talk to her right ? "

" You should. " Neil answered as he swings his arm around Jack's neck. " Now lets go to class shall we ? "

——

Jack: Hey can we talk after my practice ?

Lizzy: Sure, Ill stop by after my meeting :)

Jack instantly smiled upon reading her response. He puts his phone away, and went back to his work before the teacher could catch him slacking off.

" Hey... Jack. You heard ? " One of his classmate taps him on the shoulder.

" Heard what ? " Jack whispers.

They both look at their teacher, but she was too focused writing the class agenda on the board. His classmate leans towards Jack, and whispered something unexpected... " Kyla asked Carl and this other Senior to the homecoming but she got rejected. "

Jack was taken aback. " Carl ? Carl Salas ? " He asked.

" Yeah and I recently heard that she likes him. I mean, I feel bad for her. You should ask her to the homecoming. "
