Kabanata 17

Kasalukayan kaming nag me-meeting nina Van ngayon dahil magkakagrupo kami sa isang project. We will be doing a role play at ipeperform na next Wednesday. We still have 4 days to practice.

We chose Van na maging leader dahil magaling sya sa acting. At first she refused pero wala naman syang magagawa kasi nakapagdecide na kami.

"So guys. What theme do you want?" Tanong nya habang kinuha sa bag ang isang yellow pad at ballpen.

"What about a love story?" Napatingin kami kay Mandy. "I mean, the modern one. Like we are six naman 4 girls and 2 boys. We could come up with the plot na isa sa atin girlfriend nung boy then kaya pala he's cold and everything it's because may relasyon pala sila ng isang pang boy." Sabi nya habang makikita ang excitement sa mukha.

"Oh well that's a good one." Ani ni Anna at nakipag apir pa kay Mandy.

Well cheating is never a good plot for me but its the majority's decision at the end of the day. 

"Is it okay with you Chris and Kurt?" Tanong ni Van sa dalawa.

"Yup that's a brilliant theme. I can't wait to kiss you Papa." Natatawang sabi ni Kurt habang nakanguso kay Chris.

Natawa naman kami sa kanila. Nandiri pa kunwari si Chris sa pinag-gagawa ni Kurt.

"Okay it's settled. But saan tayo mag papractice?" Tanong ni Mandy sa amin.

"Sa amin nalang tutal wala naman sina Mommy kaya free ang house." Suggestion ni Van.

We all agreed. Napagusapan na rin namin ang time and after that ay inalis na sa pagka circle ang mga upuan at nagsibalikan sa kani-kaniyang place which is magkakatabi naman.

"Sabay nalang tayo Sab." Tugon ni Anna sa tabi ko habang inaayos ang lipstick.

"Of course. I'm gonna text you nalang when I'm ready."

I get my mirror at dinagdagan ang lipgloss. I don't feel like wearing lipstick today kaya ayon.

Maya maya't paya ay dinismiss na kami and the next thing I knew ay palabas na kami ng school.

Hindi kami sabay ni Anna dahil may pupuntahan pa ako.

My Mom asked me to bring her the files she forgot dahil nag mamadali sila kanina.

Hindi ko na binuksan ang envelop at hinayaan ko lang ito sa loob ng kotse. Now I'm on my way to give these to her.

It's past two in the afternoon at sobrang tirik ng araw kaya naman nagstop muna ako sa 7-11 to buy water because I feel like I'm about to get dehydrated.

Kumuha din ako ng pizza bar at binayaran sa counter.

Nagmamadali pa akong pumasok sa kotse dahil sa sobrang init nga.

After a few minutes ay nasa harap na ako ng company namin. Tinignan ko ang sarili ko sa compact mirror to see if I look okay.

I managed to freshen up before I went upstairs and meet my mom.

"Hi. Good afternoon Ms. Samantha. Your mom and dad are still in the conference room." Pagkadating ko sa CEO's floor ay sumalubong sa akin ang secretary ni Mommy.

"Hello Maine. Good afternoon to you too. It's okay I'm gonna wait for them sa office nalang. Thanks." I said smiling at dumaretso na sa loob ng opisina.

The room is painted white and it's huge. On the left side, there's a dark fawn bookcase which looks really nice with a lot of books in it. I touched the first book I noticed. It was a Nicholas Spark's Looking For Alaska. This one is my Mom's favorite. She really likes Spark's works and it's not a surprise if all his works are being displayed here. I turned my gaze on the right side and see a high-black leather chair and a squared table with a glass vase. The carpet is fur white. The center of the room is their desk. It is a large dark brown with two swivel chairs. Hanging on the wall above their table is our family picture. That makes the whole room familiar and warm. There is a double door between the bookcase and their desk which leads out to the patio.
