Chapter 12

I sit with Newt by the bonfire for a few minutes. Once he had remembered his name, the boys all paraded him around, as they had done for me.

At the memory, I jump up. "I'll be right back" I say to a startled Newt and sprint away into the trees. I reach my hut and grab my radio from where it sat on the table, and I run back to the bonfire, considerably more careful than before.

I run back to where Newt is still sitting and waiting for me and show him the radio. I explain what it is and what it does and his eyes light up. "Can we turn it on now?" He asks excitedly, and in answer, I hold it out to him. "Press this button" I say, and when he does, music starts to play.

**Just when I realised

Newt looks at the radio in amazement, and I quickly instruct him not to touch any more buttons, before I run off to the fire. I hesitate for a second, not wanting to dance by myself, then I close my eyes.

Now I'm finally feeling free**

I let the music wash over me, and the rest of the world fades away, till it's just me and the music, then I start to dance.

~Newt's POV~

I inspect the for a few seconds as Y/N runs off, This is bloody cool! Then I look up, and my jaw drops. Sheas dancing in front of the fire like she doesn't even know the rest of the world exists. Her eyes are closed as she moves with the music and her y/h/c hair glows in the firelight.

She's beautiful, I think to myself as I watch her, and I feel something in my mind, almost as if I recognise not just her, but this scene.

~Minho's POV, a little while before~

I scowl as I see Y/N sitting next to Newt, What sort of name is that anyway?

Frypan nudges me with his elbow, "What's up shank?" he asks, and I gesture angrily over to where they sit. I watch as Y/N runs off in the direction of her hut, "I told her how I felt about her, and all she could say was, 'I like you but, and want to kiss you, but not now'. I know she wanted to kiss me when we were in the kitchen, but now this Newbie has arrived-"

I stop, not sure what I'm going to say next. "You know", Frypan says thoughtfully, "I think that they knew each other before coming here. You wouldn't have seen, but when she first got down in the Box and looked at him, she froze for a moment, then when he started yelling, it was like she woke up".

I look at him, curiously, "Really? That's weird, but it doesn't make me like him, in fact, it makes me like him less". Frypan sighs, "All I'm saying is that they might have a history together, and if they do I wouldn't be surprised if it came back".

~Still Minho's POV, present time~

I snort in disgust as Newt's jaw drops when he sees Y/N dancing in the firelight. It wasn't that I couldn't blame him; she did look beautiful. Still, he had only been here a few hours, and he was already obviously smitten, as we all were. The first few nights, all that had been talked about was the girl and how gorgeous she was.

That was until I told them all that she wasn't just something pretty to look at, but also a person, and if she were going to like one of us, it would be on her own terms. The music continues to play, and I watch her dance, some of the boys joining her.

~3rd Person POV~

Y/N continues to dance, at some point she started singing and Newt, who's hearing her sing for the first time loves the sound of it. Minho, who has heard her sing before, also can't get enough, and the two boys admire her from afar, watching how she moves and listening to her voice.

Alby notices this and frownes. He can tell that both boys like her and has a feeling that it will cause trouble in The Glade. "Well I hope it comes soon rather than later, then it'll be over".

"What was that? O great and mighty leader?", he turns and sees Frypan. He points out the two boys. "Them, they both obviously like her, and I hope that if it causes trouble that it comes sooner rather than later".

Frypan nods, "Did you notice what happened to her when she first saw Newt?" he asks, and Alby nods. "I did, and we'll need to talk to her about it, but let's leave it till tomorrow, I think there will be enough drama tonight".

"Got that feeling too, do you?"

"Yeah, and I think that whatever happens tonight will be only the start".

~Y/N's POV~

As the music dies away, I stop dancing, but I keep singing softly to myself as I walk back to Newt. "You didn't join in!" I cry, and he shakes his head, "No, I think I'll leave the dancing to the professionals". I laugh as I sit down next to him, switching off the radio.

We sit in silence for a while, watching the fire burn lower, then I hear Ben's voice calling my name, and I look up to see him waving me over to where a group has gathered. I stand, "Let's go see what this is all about", Newt gets up, and together we walk over to the group.

"What's up?" I ask as we join them. "I remember a game we should play!" Ben says excitedly, "What is it?" someone asks, and he grins "Truth or Dare!".

"That doesn't sound like a bad idea at all", I say sarcastically, and he frowns at me. "I haven't even explained it yet".

"You don't have to", I say, "I'm not playing".

Instantly a cry goes up as the boys all beg me to play, and finally I shout at them "Ok! Ok! I'll play. How does it work, Ben?"

"Well, we all sit in a circle, and we go around asking someone to pick truth or dare if they pick truth they have to answer any question honestly, and if they pick dare then they have to do anything that the person asking says".

I sigh, "This is a bad idea, let's get this over with" and I sit down. Newt sits down next to me, and Minho sits opposite me, When did he join in?

"I'll start", Ben says, "Winston, truth or dare?".

"Truth" Winston replies, and Ben thinks for a moment, "Do you actually enjoy killing animals?".

"Not really, but it needs to be done, and I'm the best at it, so I do it".

Then its Dan's turn, "Jack, truth or dare?".

And so it goes on until it reaches Zart, he looks around, and his eyes fall on me. Oh no.

"Y/N", He says, "Truth or dare?"
