Rey, Chewie, Poe and Finn lugged their bags onto the Falcon and stashed them in the rear storage lockers.
Poe and Chewbacca took their seats in the cockpit whilst Rey and Finn went and sat on the lounge seats, strapping themselves in.
Finn reached over and squeezed Rey's knee, "It's good to have you on board".
Rey smiled, "It's good to be on board"
Finns smile faded, "Look Rey, these things you say I don't know, that you can't tell me, well you can, you know that right?"
Rey nodded, her eyes dropping to look at her hands resting in her lap. She knew of course that there was no way she could ever tell Finn. She knew that if he knew how badly she had wanted to take Kylo Rens hand or how often she had thought of him at night as her eyes closed, or just how often, even if she fought it, that his face flashed into her mind during the average day then he would turn his back on her, brand her a traitor.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the Falcon lifting noisily into the sky, leaving the jungle planet that had become Rey's home behind. It shuddered slightly, the sound of metal creaking in the ancient ship.
Rey had come to love the Falcon, somehow she felt safe on it, and closer to Han. The thought of him brought a wave of sadness to her and she quickly pushed it away. Shows of emotion had always made Han uncomfortable and it seemed wrong somehow to act like that on his ship.
"Where first?" Rey asked as she came to stand behind Poes seat. Finn joined her and they gazed out at the vast blackness of space as Poe considered a star chart.
He tapped his finger on a dusty looking planet, "Here"
"Where's here?" Finn asked impatiently.
"Passaana, it's a desert planet. You should fit right in" Poe said, glancing over his shoulder at Rey who raised her brows and folded her arms across her chest.
"Thanks" she hissed
"Are the locals friendly, the last thing we need to run into are First Order supporters" Finn asked, leaning forwards to squint at Passaana as they approached it.
"No idea" Poe said. All three of them turned to look at him and Chewbacca mewed his objections. Poe shook his head, "Only one way to find out, Chewie take us down".
