Adolpha sighed as she shoved a few more things into her duffel bag. It was a pointless activity, given the fact that all of her thick clothing was far too inappropriate for a castle are far too warm for Italy. But it felt necessary, taking a slice of home with her on her travels. She'd never even spoken to Caius Volturi and already her life was completely tied to his. It was unnerving and unwanted but it wasn't a choice; she didn't get the chance to reject it or argue.

"I knew this day would come, eventually. The time when you had to go and start your own life... But... No matter how many decades passed, I always thought that there would be more. That there would be another full moon together, that we'd have another Christmas together, another birthday." Conri breathed out the words so simply, that they almost sounded completely calm. If only she didn't know him better. "You got to watch me find Lou, watch us get married and fall in love... You got to see it all, you were always there and I always took it for granted. I always took you for granted Adolpha. And now I'm sending you away to live with a man... To love a man... Who has spewed so much shit since getting here that I look at him and all I can feel is hatred? This man, this vampire is supposed to be the one that makes you feel how Lou makes me feel... But what if he doesn't? What if that bastard has enough self-restraint to resist you and you're living there in that stupid castle, all alone."

"Then it will have been worth it" she returned, not making any motion to turn and face him. "Tell me honestly, Conri... That you wouldn't walk through hell for Lou, even before you ever even spent a second alone with her. And he's my imprint." she shrugged. "For some reason, we were put together. He was chosen for me. We don't get a choice, nobody ever gets a choice and I know that it's not going to be easy- Going to go and live with freaking Dracula but... I know that it's right. It just feels right." she decided determinedly. "I wish I could look at him and feel only hatred like you do. I've never even exchanged a single word with him." Adolpha shook her head as she considered it. "But I know I'll die for him."

"I hope he can return it, Dolpha. I hope he grows to see you as the most beautiful woman in the world. Because you're incredible. I know that I've spent the past ten decades taking the piss out of you, but you've always been my sister and it's only because I love you." he breathed. "Don't let him change you, Adolpha. Never let anybody change you."

"Some people are worth changing for, Brother" she smiled softly as she whipped the zip closed and made her way steadily toward him, instantly throwing her arms around him in a hug that he returned with furious intensity.

"Stay safe, Adolpha. We aren't the scariest thing out there anymore and... When we aren't in our wolf form... We're just human. Don't underestimate them because they have the decency to smile- To breathe and pretend to be normal. They are monsters." he assured her, voice tense.

"And we are too."

"Now come on, Kurt's got the steaks on. Let's have one last hurrah before they steal you away to Transylvania to live in some shit ass emo castle" he pestered, nudging her slightly in the arm to make her laugh- and she did as she followed him from the room and allowed him to carry her bag down the stairs.

The evening was everything she always expected it would be. Adolpha had waited a hundred years to find her imprint and there he was, his face like stone as he sat with his arms crossed over his chest tensely. He was like a furious Greek Statue, a work of art that she knew would just be called one thing; Anger. But he was bitterly beautiful and as he glared daggers into the ferns that fringed the property- she felt her heartbeat for him. Beat for the man she never even got the chance to speak to and was now already the person she would spend eternity protecting. Eternity loving- even if he couldn't return it.

But just because she loved him at that moment- as she stared at his pale face and equally pale hair... Didn't mean that she didn't have to pretend to hate him. One look into those glimmering red orbs and she instantly knew that she wasn't going to give him the satisfaction of believing that she was his without complaint. Adolpha was old enough to know that she deserved someone who would treat her well, and she would make that of Caius-- Or not be with him at all.

"Adolpha" Aro's voice was so brilliantly fascinated and as his eyes glimmered like ruby's; he saw the excitement that lingered there. He was something similar to a kid in a candy store, a sensation Adolpha could never recall having experienced. Though, regardless, she managed to paint a smile on her lips as he approached and took her hand. The wolf was not oblivious to the power of the Volturi and as his eyes grew dreamy- she knew that he was lapping up every thought that had ever swirled around that head of hers.

She couldn't find it in her to mind to care because eventually, he pulled back and his smiled managed to grow larger.

"Magnifico" he breathed.
