Chelsea POVToday was Sunday, and I was going to the Brockmans again. I still wasn't sure why Sue and Peter didn't really like me anymore but I'm sure it'll blow over.
Mum said I seem to be spending a lot of time with Jake nowadays, seeing as I still walk back from school with him and I hang out with him more than Rebecca and Amy. I think she's suspecting something but whatever it is, it's not true.
As I left my house and walked across the road, I texted Jake to say that I was outside. Okay, I know I can just knock but it's sooo much quicker to text.
After about ten seconds he got to the door. See? Much quicker. If I had knocked, they might not have heard me.
"Hi Jakey," I said. (Just a nickname, nothing suspicious here)
"Hey Chelsea," he said.
"Hi Chelsea," Sue called from the kitchen.
"Hi Sue," I called back while me and Jake went upstairs.
Sue POV
I realised they were going upstairs.
"They're going straight up to his Room!" I said.
I decided to quickly check on what they were doing. Even though Pete had spoken to Jake the other week I still had to make sure.
When I went in there, they were definately acting suspicious. Especially when they spoke to me, they sounded like they were hiding something.
Chelsea POV
"That was close," I said after Sue left Jake's room.
We had been on his laptop mucking about on the sims. He had also been telling me that Sue was trying to get everyone to have an Old-Fashioned day away from the electronics. So when we heard her coming we had to quickly close the laptop and divert our attention to something else. Of cource, we could have just said that we were doing maths stuff or something, but.. Me? Doing maths as EXTRA work? I don't think so.
So eventually we went downstairs where the old fashioned style day was still taking place. They were playing rock paper- no Scissor paper velociraptor (I'm guessing Ben made that up, because who else would?) The others clearly didn't like it and so Sue soon stopped the game. She then saw us two and had the great idea of us playing football with Pete. Don't get me wrong, footballs great, but I can't play against two boys. I'll be thrashed!
As it turns out, I'm better at football than the both of them. When we got inside I saw Jake's grandad in the kitchen. Apparently something had happened to his after he had an accident involving a can of baked beans. I didn't get to find out what happened next because Karen pranced into the room holding a recorder.
Hmm. A six year old, and a recorder. This can't be a good.
To say that her playing was bad would be an understatement. She just played randomly like all six year olds would if they had a recorder. Of cource, we had to pretend it was good so that we didnt hurt her fealings. Unfortunately, Grandad didn't follow and said, "God what was that AWFUL noise?"
Oh dear.
Karen ran off straight away and went upstairs. Poor girl.
I checked the time and realised it was already quarter past seven. Time really does fly when you have fun and I sure do have fun with Jake.
"Sorry I've got to go,'' I said.
"Oh, bye then," Sue said. She was definately trying to sound nice but I knew something was up.
"See you," Jake said, coming to the front door with me.
"Jake, why don't you parents like me anymore?" I asked quietly.
"They're think your my girlfriend," he said.
"Ew!" I said. "No offence," I added when he glared at me.
"Well see you," I said with a smile and walked back across the road to my house. And this time, I didn't climb up to my bedroom, I used the actual door with an actual key.
A/N I really don't know what that ending was oops
You'll find out why Pete and Sue aren't so fond of you/Chelsea very soon, but it won't stay this way, there just being overprotective right now😊
So anyway, I hope you enjoyed and look out for a new update! (Probably will be posted tomorrow)
Bye!
