Jake POV

I was sitting in class but I wasn't paying attention to anything. I was thinking about why Chelsea had climbed the buckets to her window rather than just using the front door like a normal person. I think she didn't know I was watching, but I was. There must be something wrong and I was going to find out what. There was a big mark on her face when she came in to school today. I looked at the other end of the classroom. She was staring out the window. Then, she turned and looked at me. I was about to turn away quickly when she smiled lightly at me. I smiled back and looked away.

I was going to walk home when at the same place as yesterday, Chelsea ran up to me.

"Can I walk with you again?" She asks.

"Yeah of cource," I reply.

"Are you okay?" I ask after a while of walking.

"Im fine," she said shortly. I decided to drop it because even if there was something up, if I kept nagging she would stop talking to me and I didn't want that.

When we got to my house and before she went to her own, she asked if she could come round again anytime soon.

"Yeah, when?"

"I don't know, any time," she said.

"What about tomorrow?" I suggest.

"Sure," She smiles. Then, she walked across the road and once again climbed into her bedroom window. When she walked, she seemed to do it in slow motion. Wait, stop! Jake don't think like that it's cringey.

I asked mum if Chelsea could come round again and she said that tomorrow we are going to the farm for Karen's birthday. I groaned but mum said she could still come if she wanted to. Aunty Angela was now staying with us after breaking up with her boyfriend in America. She came back to look after grandad. She gets into arguments with mum all the time.

"Whose Chelsea?" She asked, wiggling her eyebrows.

"She lives across the street." I said and went to the computer.

Then Karen came into the kitchen and said, "are you talking about Chelsea?"

"Yes she's coming to the farm with us tomorow," mum said.

"Does that mean Paige is coming too?" She asked.

"No only Chelsea," I say. Karen then went back to her room.

Mum came over to talk to me.

"You seem to be getting well with Chelsea," she said.

"Well we're in the same class so we may as well get on," I say. I was doing homework on the computer and listening to music.

"When did she ask to come round?"

"Just now when we walked home together,"

I definitely think she's hiding something. You don't just turn up to school with a bruise on your face for no reason.

Daniel POV (I know he's not in this yet but I thought I'd put in his side of the story first)

Chelsea Stewart was my crush since year 3.

She was always popular at primary, but I'm the little kid way. Everyone wanted to play with her. Now, she was popular in a different way. The typical popular girl at a high school. And I held the place of typical jock. We were perfect for each other. Now I just needed to to get her to date me. When she walked into school today with that big bruise on her face, I had the perfect idea.

Flashback

I was sitting in the classroom when suddenly the door swung open. I turned around and Chelsea was walking angelically into the room. She went to sit with her friends when I saw a big mark near her eye.

I walked over to her.

"Hey Chelsea," I said when I was standing behind her.

Her head swung round but now her hair was covering her eyes.

"Oh hi," she said, looking me up and down. "Who are you?"

This was outrageous. She didn't know who I was!

"I'm Daniel Moore obviusly," I said.

"Never heard of you," she said. "So what did you want?"

"I wanted to make sure your eye was-"

"Oh my god go away Daniel," stupid Emily said. "She doesn't want to talk to you and we're busy,"

Rebecca shoved me away. It was clear I couldn't do anything while those two idiots where there. So I'd have to come up with another plan.
