Jake POV

Mum and dad had been talking about going travelling for a while and taking some time off school. That sounded great, but unfortunately it didn't happen. However, we has just gone to Spain. Chelsea had gone to Spain in the summer and had told me all about it at school. Obviously my experiences were going to be different to hers because while she has one younger sibling, I have two that are extremely annoying.

I didn't think that anything could be more annoying than Ben and Karen.  It turns out I was wrong. Being stuck in an airport for three hours with Ben and Karen was the most annoying thing ever.

When we got to the airport, the entire thing was empty, as the Gatwick plane had been delayed for 2 hours. Great.

Third Person POV

"They've got guns that is sooo cool," Ben said about the 'policemen' dotted around the airport.

"There's nothing cool about guns Ben, they're horrible machines that kill people," Pete said.

"That's why they're cool," Ben answered back while nodding his head.

"Dad, what's the spanish for 'can I have a go with you machine gun?'" He asked. Then, he asked, "Have you ever fired a gun grandad?"

"Oh yeah, in Korea," he replied.

"Have you ever seen anyone get shot?"

"Oh yeah..."

"What, in Korea?" Jake asked.

"No, in a pub in Aldershot,"

Later on, Jake drank a double espresso but gave the rest of it to Ben. This caused some trouble... such as a couple of accidents involving an elderly woman who had happened to be staying in the same hotels as the Brockmans and flew with them before the trip. The Brockmans first impression on her could not have been good, as Ben had caused her many injuries.

For example, he had ridden a luggage trolley very speedily at Gatwick airport before the flight.

This time, however, Jake and Ben were having a fight and Jake accidently bumped into her, knocking her coffee out of her hand in the process.

It didn't stop there. Ben once again knocked a trolley into her while they were in the check in queue.

Finally, just before the family were going to board, Pete accidently knocked her over whilst swinging his back onto his back. This knocked her forward and smashed her glass bottles.

Luckily, she was able to tolerate the first few incidents but the final time pushed it. She told the family to "Stay away from me, all of you!"

When an incident occurring the elderly women wasn't going on, Jake was on his mobile.

[Jake's Phone -

Jo: Normal, Jake: Bold]

Hey Jake

Whose this?

It's Jo, from school

Did Chelsea not tell you she gave me your number?

Great. Jake thought. He really didn't like Jo, and thought she was a show off.

Oh. Right

So anyways, what are you doing?

In an airport for two hours

Oh that's a shame

Tell me Jakey, what's going on between you and Chelsea? She won't say anything

Maybe it's because she hates you. Jake thought. Then again, if she hated her why would she have her number?

Nothing

Nothing at all

You sure? You spend a whole lot of time together at school and I see you walking home together

This was really annoying Jake. The truth was, earlier that year he had realised that he had a tiny crush on Chelsea. He could never admit that to anyone.

Why were you watching us walk home?

Oh I wasn't really watching you I just saw you

"Jake, stop texting!" Pete said. Jake sighed and put his phone away.

What had he done that was to bad in order to deserve texts from the annoying brat called Jo?

Meanwhile on Chelsea's Phone...

[Chelsea: Bold Jo: Normal]

He isn't replying to me!

Who?

Jake! I messaged him something and he won't reply

Maybe he's been told to come off, his parents are always telling him to

Really? I don't have to I can stay on my mobile for as long as I want

Of cource you can Chelsea thought. Although her and Jo had become a sort of friends, she still really annoyed her. She bragged aaaaalll the time about her stupid clarinet and shes allowed to do anything that she wants.

Back to the Brockmans...

Ben had a knife in his bag and had been stopped by security. This caused a lot of trouble for the Brockmans as it wasted a lot if time.

Just before they were to get onto the plane, Pete couldn't find their tickets and took ages at the desk fumbling around in his bag for them.

Eventually, they got in but they still forgot one thing.

A few seconds after they had gone, Grandad came out of the toilets.

A/N wow that was bang on 800 words.

Anyway, what do you think will happen to grandad?

More importantly, do you think Jake will eventually like Jo? I hope not.

I hope you enjoyed and I'll see you in the next chapter!
