Chelsea POV-Jake suddenly kissed me. I froze, because I wasn't expecting it to happen yet. Of cource, I had wanted him to but I reallyyyyy wasn't expecting it at that moment.
He didn't exactly stop, so I kissed back. We pulled away at the exact same time and had mirrored expressions on our face. The kind of face you make when your both horrorfiyed but excited at the same time. In other words, our eyes were really widely open.
"Uh.." Jake said and then shook out of the trance he was in. "Uh.. sorry," he apologised. I think he was sort of confused as what to say, and so was I.
"It's... okay," I replied, still in a bit of a trance.
Just then, the door banged open and Ben came in again. "Do you have a torch?" He asked.
"Don't you know how to knock?" Jake snapped.
Ben walked around the room before asking again, "do you have a torch?"
"Why would I have a torch?"
"I don't know, but I can't find one so I though you might have one because whenever I need the scissors, they're always in here,"
"What?" Jake was completely lost now. So was I, what did scissors have to do with a torch? "Ben, get out," Jake said.
Ben backed out of the room while still looking for a torch.
"Uh.. anyway," Jake said, turning back to me. "I know we only just went on a date today but I have to ask you... do you want to be my girlfriend?"
My eyes widened again. "Uh.. y- y-" ...what was I doing? Chelsea Stewart doesn't stutter! "I- I- what I mean is ..yes," I finally managed to say.
Time skip to year eleven (series 4)
Jake and I had been dating for just over a year now and things were going absolutely brilliantly. Of cource we had the odd arguments, but that's nesessary right? Sue and Pete argue all the time and they're fine, whereas my mum and dad never really argues that much and look at them now. Or.. look at my mum now. Neither me or Paige have seen dad since that incident 4 years ago.
Another thing was I've managed to keep it a secret from my mum for the entire time. She nearly found out once, after reading over my shoulder when we were texting, but I told her it was a joke. Luckily she fell for it but I don't think she'll fall for it again so I've got to be careful from now on. If she found out, she'd have my head.
Anyway, only a few people knew about our relationship, (Rebecca, Emily, obviously the brockmans and some of Jake's friends) because we didn't really fancy everybody at school knowing. This was really annoying because Jake has had such a glowup since we were in year seven, so most of the girls in our year - and disgustingly some of the younger girls - were after him. I was kind of scared about that happening at first, but he's never even glanced at them once.
I had noticed that Jake had become really distant from his family lately. I wasn't sure why, and to be honest, I wasn't really that keen on finding out. If he hasn't told me what's wrong, then he clearly doesn't want me to know so I don't want him to become even more annoyed. It's probably the fact that he has to see his younger brother Ben more than he normally would as he has come up to year 7 now.
However, he's got this really nice jacket that he bought the the other day. I don't know where he got all the money to buy it from because I can't see sue or Pete giving him extra money to buy a jacket. I don't really mind where he got the money from, because he looks amazing in it.
