"sir, you can't possibly make me take literature!" soobin exclaimed at the principal who sat across from him.

"i'm sorry soobin but your attendance can't earn you a spot in college. you're a smart kid but why can't you just come to school?" his principal sighed as he gazed at the purple-haired boy.

out of all days that soobin decided to come to school, he was smacked in the face with an additional subject to take.

"it can't be that bad! you're a straight A student. i'm sure you can handle literature. don't you have a romantic bone in your body?" the principal tried enlightening soobin, only to receive a deathly glare from the boy.

"look, taking an additional subject isn't going to affect your current grades now-"

"sir, i don't know if you realised but i have other things to attend to after school. i'm literally a working student!" soobin retorted back with his fists clenched.

the principal rubbed the temples of his head in frustration, feeling a migraine coming any minute soon.

"let's make a deal soobin," the principal finally said after calming himself down.

"i'll personally write a letter of recommendation to the college you wish to go to. ONLY if you take this extra subject. you have so much potential in you and it's killing me that you're wasting it away because of attendance!" the principal remarked.

soobin looked down at his clenched fist and felt his heart thumping in his chest. he was infuriated that his future depended on the subject he hated the most. the subject he purposely avoided.

"i'll only take the subject if you can guarantee me a college scholarship," soobin looked up at the principal solemnly as he changed their deal.

"you'd make a fine businessman soobin," the principal grinned at the boy who knew his worth.

"i'll get going to that damned class now, mister park," soobin grumbled as he made his way out of the principal's office.

"have a pleasant day soobin!" mister park called out while smiling triumphantly.

-

"alright class, settle down. we have a new student joining this class!" the literature teacher announced gathering everyone's attention.

as if on cue, soobin walked into the literature classroom and stood up front.

area's eyes widened as she recognised the purple-haired boy who stood uncomfortably at front of the class while gaining the attention from the students.

"um, i'm choi soobin. that's it," soobin greeted before taking a vacant seat at the back of the class.
