aera felt a mixture of anxiousness and fear as she entered soobin's apartment.

she didn't know whether soobin wanted to see her at that moment after everything that happened the past week.

meanwhile, yeonjun smirked to himself mischievously as soon as he heard his cousin enter the apartment.

yeonjun who wanted to continue playing cupid decided to find ways and means to bring aera and soobin back together.

"hey jun, how's soobin now?" aera asked frantically once she laid eyes on her cousin.

"he's sleeping right now. he was puking like crazy just now," yeonjun sighed.

"but hey, i made kimchi ramyeon for him to eat later on once he's better!" yeonjun beamed proudly but aera's worried expression remained unchanged.

"thanks junnie for taking care of him. have you taken his temperature? or put a wet towel on his head?" aera asked with wide eyes but yeonjun shook his head awkwardly.

aera quickly went into soobin's bedroom only to find his bed empty. as if on cue, the sound of soobin puking was heard from the bathroom.

aera moved fast and felt her heart ache at the sight of soobin suffering.

soobin wiped his lips tiredly after flushing the toilet and slumped against the wall as if he was used to this regime.

"come on soobin," aera said softly as she helped the fatigued boy up to his feet.

as much as soobin wanted to resist her frail grasp, he was too tired to do anything.

soobin's room was filled with awkward silence as aera dabbed a wet towel on soobin's face. the pair avoided each other's gaze, unable to find the right words to say at the moment.

"jun! could you get a bowl of soup for soobin?" aera called out but no response came.

aera gave a small smile to soobin before walking out of his room; only to find her cousin gone.

"stupid junnie," aera huffed out and proceeded to get soobin's soup instead.

a while ago, yeonjun quietly slipped out of the house, a playful smirk plastered on his face as he fulfilled his mission on leaving the pair alone.
