"thanks for walking me home and like, basically everything today," aera said as the pair reached her home.

"you still owe me that lunch date," soobin reminded and chuckled when he noticed aera's cheeks turn pink.

aera nodded and bid soobin a goodnight but suddenly stopped in her tracks.

"soobin! your sweater—"

"keep it, it looks cute on you!" soobin called out as he continued walking away from her home.

aera felt a wide grin curl up and she internally squealed as she made her way inside.

soobin on the other hand felt like complete and utter shit. his recent conversation with yeonjun kept replaying in his mind; he felt like an asshole.

correction: he was being an asshole.

he knew he was leading the girl on and they've only knew each other for 48 hours.

so was he going to take aera's virginity? he didn't know at all. he didn't know if he had the guts to do something that sick to her.

although her agreed, it wasn't too late for him to tell yeonjun he wouldn't do it. his living expenses were on the line, his job barely enough to help his mother out.

soobin took out a cigarette from his pack and lit the intoxicated stick as he made his way back home. the smoke inhaled didn't do much to calm his nerves but he felt aware of his feelings now.

there were rare occasions where he would smoke the whole stick out and unfortunately, this was one of them.

on the other hand, aera was clutching onto soobin's sweater tightly as she crawled into her bed. the scent of vanilla and tobacco seemed to ease her anxious heart.

it was weird how much comfort he brought within a day.

aera wasn't one to trust what she would call the 'male species'. the only reason she stuck with jaemin and jeno was because they grew up together since kindergarten.

now that someone unique like soobin cane into her life, she didn't know how to react to it. someone so introverted yet so kind.

aera sighed dreamily as she went on her phone. he was literally driving her mad.
