soobin froze in his spot, cursing at himself for talking out loud.

aera continued to embrace him from behind as she snuggled her head softly against his back.

"i don't know what it is about you that makes me feel so secure. i've known you for only a month but seem to be falling for you even when i try not to," soobin suddenly rambled as slowly turned around to face aera.

"what are you doing to me aera?" soobin breathed out lowly as he his face was centimetres apart from aera's.

"the timing seems so off because you've been through so much for the past two weeks but here i am confessing my fucking feelings after what happened tonig—"

soobin's rambling was cut off when the petite girl tip-toed to place her lips on his.

soobin stood taken aback from the girl's sudden actions. shortly after, aera pulled away and looked up at soobin through her puffy eyes.

"i forget about the shit i go through because you somehow manage to ease my pain; you make me forget about how fucked up the world can be—"

"i should be asking you the question, what the hell are you doing to me soobin?" aera breathed out as their eyes remained locked with each other's.

soobin's eyes travelled to her lips, his heart pounding out of his chest from the change in atmosphere around them.

soobin found his hands cupping her face gently, slowly breathing out the anxiety in his heart. he wanted to stop. he didn't want to dig himself deeper in his feelings.

but he couldn't help it. he just couldn't.

with that being said, he leaned in and reconnected their lips together softly. their eyes fluttering shut as their lips conveyed their feelings towards each other.

their hearts beat in sync as their kiss slowly progressed to a mildly passionate and heated one.

"jump," soobin breathed out in between the kiss, their breaths becoming heavier as aera desperately tried to gain as much closure with his tall body.

aera nodded in response and did what she was told, with soobin successfully catching her as she wrapped her legs around his torso.

soobin gently pushed her against the wall, still carrying her as he deepened the kiss. her fingers managed to weave through his hair and slightly tug at it whenever he bit her bottom lip.

their minds became hazy with love and lust as they often pulled away to catch their breaths. yet, their lips craved for more; soobin took this as the chance to pepper small kisses all over her faces as soon after trailed it down to her neck.

aera sighed contentedly as she tugged at his hair causing him to perk up and reattach their lips again. passion rushed through their bodies as soobin carried her to his bed and laid her down gently.

aera's legs were still wrapped around his torso, clutching onto his shirt and tried to close the space between them.

the room felt hot as aera brought soobin's neck in contact with her lips. the taller boy sighed dreamily as he allowed the petite girl to mark her spots on his neck.

the pair's heated session came to a close as soobin reconnected their lips and gave her one last peck before pulling away. their noses brushed against each other as the boy left a small kiss on aera's nose.

their heavy breathing echoed throughout soobin's bedroom as they stared at each other's flushed faces and swollen lips.

aera giggled shyly as soobin lay beside her. she snuggled up beside the purple-haired boy who could only smile with his deep dimples popping out.

soobin returned her embrace and snaked his arms around her small body and kissed her forehead.

"what does this mean soobin?" aera whispered after a moment of silence.

"i'm not sure, but we'll figure it out slowly," soobin responded as he held the petite girl against his chest.

as aera eventually fell asleep, soobin couldn't help but wonder what would become of them if it weren't for that morning.

he was then reminded again of the bet he agreed to doing and felt his heart sink to his stomach.

he was lost and aera only seemed like the right answer in his life.

he had already hurt her and she didn't know it.

he looked down at the sleeping girl in his arms and felt like a dickhead.

how could he hurt someone as precious as her?
