aera frowned at her phone screen as she walked soobin's house. it's been a week since the pair had reconciled and they were taking time to know each other better.

just when aera thought everything was going to be okay, she received weird messages from an unknown number.

a part of her felt anxious and scared but at the same time, aera felt secure with where she stood in life.

"hello you lovely person," soobin greeted aera  with a kiss on her forehead as he opened the passenger door to his car for her.

"you could've just picked me up!" aera huffed out but soobin only giggled.

"you live two streets away from me you lazy potato," soobin stuck out his tongue as he buckled his seatbelt.

"did you just call your girlfriend a potato?" aera raised a brow but quickly covered her mouth after realising what she said.

"my girlfriend? damn, didn't know i had one," soobin smirked as he began driving off.

"shut up choi,"

"okay wife," soobin winked at aera before diverting his attention back on the road.

aera blushed and fidgeted with her fingers throughout the whole ride. although her friends, including herself, expected the pair to become official, that wasn't the case.

soobin and aera were in a weird position where they didn't have a label on them. they were neither a couple nor just friends.

to them, they were simply two kids in love.

"damn, when will you ever ask me out?" aera blurted out her thoughts causing her eyes to widen in realisation.

soobin just shook his head and smiled at aera's cuteness. aera sighed and pouted as she stared at soobin.

"we're here," soobin chuckled out as he parked his car.

aera remained quiet with her pout unchanged as her brows furrowed together. soobin's smile just grew wider as he and aera got out of the car.

"come on tiny potato," soobin teased as he grabbed aera's small hand in his.

however, aera didn't budge. her pout still formed as she stared at soobin with the angriest expression she could muster up.

"why are you pouting?" soobin questioned as he poked her cheeks but her expression remained the same.

soobin giggled and immediately peppered kisses all over aera's face. in response, aera blushed as her pout formed a smile.

"now can we go?" soobin asked with aera nodding her head eagerly.

from afar, a hooded figure stood with a smirk displayed on his lips as he watched the pair head into a dog café.

"this time park aera, this time you'll be mine"
