Chapter 10- Christophsis

Okay so I'm gonna jump to the battle of Christophsis, Obi-Wan and Satine are married and she's pregnant, Anakin and Padmé are engaged. The clones all age normally, and are 20. Ahsoka is 15, I'm not gonna have rexsoka until she's older.

"I think reinforcements are here sir!" Rex shouted to his general, relieved that someone heard them. That relief, however, was short-lived, as once the transport landed, a young togrutan walked out - alone.

"Um, who are you? And where's the aid we asked for?" Anakin was clearly irritated, they were being decimated, any support and supplies were urgent, but all they got was a youngling.

With a spring in her step, she and announced, "I am Ahsoka Tano, padawan to Anakin Skywalker."

"Oh no, no no no, I didn't ask for a padawan, I'm not ready, I do better on my own." His irritation was turning into anger now.

"Anakin, if she says she's your padawan, then she must be, she has no reason to lie to us."

"Master, just because she's not lying doesn't mean it's not a mistake."

Obi-Wan rolled his eyes, his former padawan was being as immature as the togrutan, if not more so. 'What Padmé sees in him, I'll never understand...'

"Hey! If you're gonna think smack about me, at least have your shields up." The younger knight retorted, sticking his tongue out. "I'll have you know, Padmé thinks I'm amazing!"

Surprised at the scene before her, she cleared her throat to remind them that she was here. "Hey skyguy, what do I do?" That was the last straw for Anakin, the snippy little girl was stressing him out. That and the fact that she was way too young to be on a battlefield. Rex was laughing at her remark, something that didn't put him in Anakin's good books at that moment in time.

"Ugh, Rex, take the youngling, give her a tour of the camp."

That was his payback, Rex looked at the girl, who simply muttered 'padawan' under her breath, as they began walking away from the generals.

"What's with him? Why doesn't he like me?" Ahsoka was curious, she could tell she wasn't wanted, but master Yoda told her specifically she was assigned to Skywalker.

"The general doesn't want a padawan, he's only 19 you know, he doesn't think he's old enough. And he's got stuff going on... But ah, I never said that." 'Carrabast! The general's gonna kill me, I hope she doesn't go pestering him.' Glancing back at the togrutan, she was clearly confused, but from the look on Rex's face hopefully conveyed the notion that she shouldn't speak about it.

She got the message and changed the subject, a smirk gracing her orange features.
"So," she began, "if you're a captain, and I'm a Jedi, technically I outrank you." A cheeky grin now showing.

His reply was short and to the point, "In my book, experience outranks everything."

"Well I guess I better get some."

He couldn't argue with that, and then, an explosion, another wave of battle droids were closing in, and it seemed as though they had a shield generator.

"Come on kid, we gotta tell the generals now!" Rex's face was full of worry for the teen, he was glad he had his helmet on. As they ran to the two Jedi, he could see she was determined to make a name for herself. 'Reckless, just like general Skywalker. Maybe they'll make a good pair, or maybe they'll get themselves killed.'

The battle was finished, and the remaining 501st and 212th - totalling to only 56 men, less than half a battalion - were exhausted. Rex and Cody would travel to Kamino to get new recruits, and the Jedi were going to return to the temple. Master Yoda had other ideas however.

"Young Skywalker, a mission I have for you and your padawan." His archaic speech patterns were iconic, as well as his unique tone of voice. Yoda was glad Anakin accepted Ahsoka, he knew they would do much good together.

"Yes master?" He was exhausted, but he didn't show it, Anakin knew that, when at war, rest is a luxury.

"Rescue the son of Jabba the Hutt, you must, on Teth, we believe he is."

That stunned him, "wait, you want me to save the son of Jabba the Hutt. I, I don't know if I'm suitable for this."

"Believe in you I do, also, the only free Jedi you currently are."

Sighing, Anakin accepted the mission, he would have to take the remaining 501st with him, which wasn't many men, hopefully they would survive. As he and Ahsoka boarded the transport to the Resolute, he was shaking, this was not going to be fun.
