Anakin was standing on the deck of the Resolute, he was on duty monitoring traffic in and out of Coruscant, and bored out of his mind. Knowing it was still daytime, Padmé would have been in the senate, there was going to be a vote on something or other, not that he cared. That wasn't to say he didn't care about his fiance's career, he was immensely proud of her achievements, he just would rather be with her getting a caf by a park. His thoughts then wandered to Ahsoka, she had been at the temple studying, a punishment for a prank that went awry, so she hadn't met Obi-Wan's daughter yet. At least her suspension would be ending the next rotation, Anakin had already gained permission to take her to Mandalore - he didn't need to get snips in any more trouble.

Padmé was sat in her booth in the senate chamber, there was a debate over using the outer rim as clone factories. She had quite rapidly given her point of view, more clones meant more bloodshed and more debt. The money should go to the people of the planets in the Republic. In that aspect she agreed with the separatists, but she would never betray her people, so instead she'd fight for justice from the inside. Listening to the banking clan and the Kaminoans attempt to make their endeavours more appealing just infuriated her. She couldn't wait to cast her vote and leave. Taking out her personal com, she discretely sent a message to her love:

Padmé: hey Ani, I miss you, stuck listening to the banking clan pretend that more debt is good for the Republic. Come home soon, love you x

Back on the Resolute, Anakin was speaking to Captain Rex, there wasn't much going on in the sky today so their job was rather relaxed, a stark contrast to the horrors of war. Anakin's com buzzed, excusing himself for a moment, he read the message and it warmed his soul. He couldn't reply as it might interrupt her session, but he'd be home soon. Turning back to Rex, he decided to probe his captain.

"So, Rex,"

Rex knew that this tone wasn't good, he was about to get questioned, "yes general?"

"Anyone caught your eye?"

'Oh force, does he know about Ahsoka, does Ahsoka know!? Kriff...'

Smirking in a way that only the chosen one could, he leaned in near Rex's ear, keeping the conversation private.
"I do now, all I'm gonna say is, she's still young, so are you, we all are. Wait a bit longer to figure out your feelings and let her figure hers out. If she wants to be with you, you have my blessing. If you hurt her however, you will have hell to pay."

With that Anakin walked off deck to his room, the reason Rex was there in the first place was so he could go on break. Once in his room, he called Ahsoka to see how she was getting on. The call didn't connect however, which momentarily worried Anakin, then he remembered the force. Reaching out, he could feel his padawan clearly, she was safely meditating with master Yoda, no harm would come to her there. Assuming she'd left her com in her room, he retreated from the force and pulled out his holo-book. It had been a while since he'd gotten the chance to read, so he got stuck in. After a few chapters he began nodding off, so he closed his book and laid back, closing his eyes and drifting off to sleep.

On Mandalore, Obi-Wan was cradling his young daughter, she was everything that he loved in Satine and more.

"Now my little one, before we head to sleep, I'm going to show you the stars. If you look over there, you can see where daddy is from. My home is Stewjon, well, it was, now my home is here with you and mummy. That one, the one that looks like a line, is where uncle Ani is from, it's actually a binary star system. I'll show you the whole galaxy little one, I'll take you to see all the stars in the sky. Just you wait, I love you Sabine, you're the brightest star in my life."

"That was beautiful Obi." Satine's gentle voice said from behind. Coming up to her husband and daughter, she wrapped her arms around the two. "Come now, it's late, this one will need to be put down, and I want you to rest. It's only a couple more weeks until you leave again..."

Her words trailed off, Obi-Wan knew what was unsaid, he was scared as well, but he had his family to keep him grounded. Leaning in for a kiss, the family went inside and into a gentle slumber. Obi-Wan thought to himself just before drifting off, 'my little Sabine, the star of my life.'
