Trigger warning for dysphoria and negative spirals, but still will be quite a fluffy chapter.

Anakin paced back and forth. He stood in one of the spare rooms at his home on Naboo, Obi-Wan sitting on the bed, waiting for him to finish. Sunlight bathed the room in golden hues, it was nearly sunset, when Anakin would marry Padmé, something that didn't make him feel calm.

On the other side of the Varykino mansion Padmé was with her sister and Ahsoka. Sola was helping Padmé slip into her dress whilst Ahsoka was sorting out her formal robes. The three women were bristling with excitement, whereas Anakin was terrified he'd mess up somehow.

"Anakin," sighed Obi-Wan, "you'll wear a hole in the floor if you keep that up."

The younger Jedi sat next to his former master on the bed, falling back with his hands shielding his face. Taking a deep breath, Anakin spoke the thoughts plaguing his mind.

"I don't feel worthy of marrying Padmé. I can't give her the family she wants, I'll never be a truly good husband to her. I know that one day she'll fall in love with someone who can make her happier than I..."

His words were so quiet, barely above a whisper, and yet they rung loudly in Obi-Wan's ears. He grabbed Anakin's shoulders and turned him to face himself.

"Anakin. You are a wise and brave Jedi, and a wonderful man. You are my brother, you will not disappoint Padmé, for she loves you. Don't think that because you were born differently than say I, that you are any less of a man. You know there are many more ways of having a family than sex. Padmé loves you, and she always will, I know it."

After the speech Obi-Wan gave, Anakin pulled him into a tight embrace, a few tears falling onto his cheek. Pulling himself together, he checked himself in the mirror, straightening his robes. Looking back at Obi-Wan with a newfound determination, he smiled at his best man,
"Alright, it's time to get married! Woo!"

Anakin stood on the balcony, it was a small affair, his "family" consisted of Obi-Wan, Satine, Sabine, Rex and Ahsoka, whilst Padmé's family and Sabé and Dormé were there for here. I'm actuality, both groups were here for both beings, it was a union after all. The bay doors opened and everyone turned to see Padmé on the arm of her father walking towards her lover. The white lace of her dress shimmered in the low light of the evening, she was truly ethereal in that moment. When her soon to be husband took her hands, he could barely contain the tears of joy welling in his eyes.

"You look beautiful Mé."
"You didn't scrub up to badly yourself Ani."

The officiant began the ceremony, following traditional Naboo culture for the vows, though there were some added pieces of the Jedi religious beliefs curteousy of Obi-Wan. Knowing that their relationship was still private, the pair opted to exchange droids instead of rings, Anakin taking R2, and Padmé trading C3PO, even though they had already been sharing the two since geonosis. The officiant pronounced them man and wife, and the small congregation cheered as the newlyweds kissed in the light of dusk.

"Congratulations master, how does it feel? You're a married man now." Ahsoka teased Anakin lightheartedly.

"It's good snips, now I have even more back up for when you do something you're not supposed to." Anakin shot back, recieving a shocked look from his padawan.

Padmé observed the exchange and inputted her opinion, "Ani, honey, you talk as if you're the patron saint of good behaviour. And everybody here knows that's not true."

At that it was Anakin's turn to look shocked, indignantly muttering something about 'stupid padawan teaming up with his stupid wife'. At that moment he snapped back to reality and gave Padmé a passionate kiss, grinning like a madman, he said to her.

"You're my wife." His tone then grew to a shout, gaining most people's attention. "Hey everyone! Padmé's my wife! Woo!"

The party cheered and then returned to their own conversations. After a couple hours of congratulations and gifts and food, everyone began retreating to their own rooms, leaving Anakin and Padmé on the balcony alone.

"Padmé Amidala-Skywalker, you have made me the happiest man alive. I hope I can give you the same."

Padmé noticed how his voice trembled, a stark contrast to the confident declaration from earlier, and she caressed his rough cheek. Turning his face to meet her eyes, she smiled kindly and kissed him.

"Anakin Amidala-Skywalker, you are the most wonderful man I have ever met. You make me feel like the most beautiful creature in the galaxy. Obi-Wan told me what you said to him, and I want you to know that no matter what happens, you are my husband, now and forever. I truly, deeply love you, and I always will."

The couple embraced one another, sharing a gentle kiss. Then suddenly Padmé was off her feet, Anakin was carrying her to their bedroom, the pair giggling all the while. Once inside, the two began to kiss more intensely, quickly removing any and all clothing. As the husband and wife continued to make love, their force signatures, especially Anakin's, began to glow. Thankfully it wasn't enough to disturb Obi-Wan or Ahsoka, both of whom were only a few doors down. After a few hours of passion, both were exhausted, and drifted off to sleep in each others arms.
