Stood Up

As we continued, Jungkook kept saying my name. As if he were calling to me from far away. I blinked and we were both standing outside my house. He smirked once I looked at him with attention.
Y/n: "W-What just happened?"
Jungkook: "We were talking about having kids and you spaced out." He blushed. I blushed, hearing up from what I just thought about.
Y/n: "S-So we didn't....?" He looked at me a little confused, but tried not to laugh.
Jungkook: "Didn't What?" I bit my lip.
Y/n: "N-Nothing!" I turned around and walked to the door but he grabbed my wrist and turned me to face him.
Jungkook: "Nope. Tell me! I want to know!" I shook my head. Then he smirked.
Jungkook: "You were thinking about it weren't you?" I blushed.
Y/n: "About w-what?.." he stepped closer.
Jungkook: "Fine. Don't tell me." He pulled me closer and wrapped his arms around me. He leaned closer to me and whispered in my ear
Jungkook: "But just so you know..... I can only wait for so long. So don't hesitate to ask, ok?" He pulled away and stared at me to watch my reaction. I just blushed and tried to play it cool. I failed, but I tried, and that's what matters. We laughed and bud each other a good night, then I walked inside as he drove off. I sighed deeply. How could I think of something like that?! What's gotten into me?! I shook my head to release the thought and hurried to bed. I tried distracting myself until I eventually fell asleep.

Morning came and I awoke, barely remembering what happened last night. Never mind. It came back again... Jungkook didn't really say that did he? But I couldn't have dreamt that. It felt so real. I tried forgetting about it and got ready for the day. I'm so excited to work with Rose again!! It hasn't really felt normal for a while. I finished getting ready and headed to the community center. They opened up a new mini cafe, and I attended as a waitress as well. Rose is one of the baristas there. It pays well, and it's in the same building where we do our donations and community organizations.

Once I got there I arrived at the small cafe and wrapped the apron around my uniform. Rose was already there, making someone's drink. After she delivered it to the customer she noticed me and smiled widely. I came to her and gave her a big hug.
Rose: "Aww I missed you so much bestie!!" I giggled.
Y/n: "I missed you too Rosey~" she giggled and let go. A customer came by the counter and looked at us.
???: "Excuse me?" Rose gave him her attention, but he was staring at me. I smiled nervously and waved a little.
Rose: "How can I help you?" He shifted his eyes to Rose.
???: "I'd like an americano please." Rose smiled and nodded.
Rose: "Anything else?" The man thought about it. He was handsome no doubt, but not my type.
???: "Just the coffee for now please." She nodded and offered him a seat for him to wait. When she finished I offered to deliver it for her. She thanked me and I walked off. I found him at a table with a small group of men. They seemed around Taehyung's age. Maybe a year younger. I smiled once their eyes landed on me and gave the drink to the man. I noticed the others didn't have anything.
Y/n: "Did you guys want anything?" I asked kindly. One of them smirked. I ignored it and looked at someone else.
???: "I feel like having something sweet. Do you serve desserts at this time of day?"
I smiled kindly and nodded. The man that ordered previously touched the fabric of my skirt, which then I backed away.
???: "Do you think we could have you?" I was shocked and confused by his request.
Y/n: "Excuse me?" They laughed.
???: "You said you serve sweets at this time. We want you." I just stood there. There weren't many people around yet, so no one was really watching.
Y/n: "I'm sorry?"
They just laughed at my reaction.
???: "We think you're cute. And by the looks of it your sweet. We just want to see how you taste." He bit his lip. One of them winked, and another licked his lips seductively. They were all attractive, but gross. It made me feel sick just looking at them.
Y/n: "I-I have a boyfriend." The man frowned angrily.
???: "So? It's just for tonight. Come on! We'll have a great time!" He smirked. I backed away even more.
Y/n: "Look. Single or not you should pry on women like this. It's disgusting." They just laughed at me. What the heck is there problem?
???: "Look hot stuff. My friend here just got out of a relationship. He's lonely."
Y/n: "And I'm sorry about that. But I'm loyal and faithful to those I love. So find someone else or move along."
???: "Ooooo. Love you say?" I scoffed.
Y/n: "Just back off alright?" The man stood up while his friends watched. I got a little scared.
???: "Just let us prove it to you. I promise you won't regret it." He sneered. I gulped and began to shake.
Taehyung: "She said back off bud!" He came out of nowhere and shoved the man away from me. Why was he here? The man chuckled, but he wasn't happy.
Y/n: "Taehyung? Why are you here?"
Taehyung: "That's your question?" I asked chuckling.
???: "Oh. Is this him? Your lover boy that you just can't seem to cheat on?"
Taehyung: "What? No. We're just friends." He have a confused look. The man smirked.
???: "Great. Then let us have her."
Taehyung: "Excuse me?" He stood in front of me.
???: "You heard me. She's not yours. So give her here."
He reached but Taehyung grabbed his wrist and threw him sideways.
Taehyung: "Don't you dare lay a finger on her! She said back off! She has a boyfriend you perv!" The man chuckled.
???: "Really? And where is he now?"
I gulped.
Taehyung: "Working. That's what successful people do."
???: "Oh. Successful? Huh? Is that your type, you little priss?" What did that even mean?
Taehyung: "What did you just say?!"
Y/n: "Guys, please."
Taehyung: "Not now Y/n."
???: "Y/n? What a lovely name. Now I want you even more." Suddenly I heard the cafe doors open, the tiny bell rang to indicate a customer arrived.
Taehyung: "Give it a rest! She's not into you! You should go. All of you. NOW!" The man stared at Taehyung then back at me. He winked, gave an angry look, then left with his friends. Once they were gone Taehyung turned around and looked a lot me worryingly.
Taehyung: "Are you alright?! Did he touch you?!"
Y/n: "N-no..." I looked up at him. He sighed.
Taehyung: "Guys like him are sick. You should stay away from them. Be careful." I nodded. He cleared his throat.
Taehyung: "What are you doing here anyway?"
Y/n: "I work here. So does Rose." He nodded.
Y/n: "What are you doing here?" I asked curiously. He froze.
Taehyung: "Um...n-no reason." I stared at him suspiciously. I crossed my arms.
Y/n: "I'm not thanking you until you tell me." He chuckled and shoved his hands in his pockets. He bit his lip nervously.
Taehyung: "If I tell you....do you promise not to tell anyone?"
Y/n: "That depends on what it is."
Taehyung: "Y/n!"
Y/n: "Fine! Your secret is safe with me." I giggled. He sighed and rubbed his hands together.
Taehyung: "I'm on a date." My eyes widened.
Y/n: "Really?!" He nodded. I screamed, and jumped around. The very few customers and employees stared at me, so I stopped and apologized.
Y/n: "Is she here?!" I asked. He shook his head. I frowned.
Taehyung: "Now that you know, can I ask you a favor?" I nodded with a smile.
Taehyung: "Could you serve us? I'm nervous..." I stayed silent. I was so excited I grew shocked.
Taehyung: "I'd feel a little more comfortable with one is my best friends here. And you serving us would really help lower my nerves. Is that alright with you?" I just blinked until I gained the strength to speak.
Y/n: "Is the sky blue? Of course it is!! I mean, of course I will!" I hugged him tight. He hugged me back.
Taehyung: "Thank you so much." He messed with my hair and couldn't stop smiling. I giggled and nodded my head. I heard the cafe doors open again, but when I looked a woman was walking out. She was facing away from us, so I couldn't see her face. From her body language and how she messed with her hair she looked down and walked away as if her life fell apart. I felt bad for her, but tried not to assume anything. I faced Taehyung again, and offered him to sit somewhere.
