episode 12

"a what?"

"an introductory video!" dan replied "awe c'mon, don't tell me you don't know what they are" he pulled his red phone out and went straight to their video channel pulling up shun's video "they're simple really, just a video that tells all about you. we made one for us when we started out as brawlers then shun when he joined" he looked up at magnus as the other watched to get an idea. "they're really fun actually"

"i don't see the point in making one" magnus said, his eyes still on screen "everyone already knows i'm a part of you guys thanks to lia's wonderful post" lia shun wynton and lightning were already outside, after hearing what magnus said the girl rolls her eyes

"i know but it'd still be a fun thing to do" the red striped brunette said angling the camera tword him "whataya think?"

"i dunno..."

wynton chuckled and walked behind him "come on 'ol pal" he said and nudged his shoulder rather harshly which suprised the older "i think it sounds like a great idea! unless, of course, you're camera shy" the ventus brawler snickered

"i'm not-!" magnus almost let his temper out and in an attempt to stop himself he breathed in rubbing his hurt shoulder "i'm not camera shy" he said calmly "but you're right wynton, it is a good idea." he turned back to the eager 12 year old by him "i'm in dan"

"great! we're gunna need a few shots of you brawling so," dan held out the camera to lia "can you-"

"oh no, you'll be the one doing camera work for this one dan" the blue haired girl handed the camera back to him before popping out pegatrix between her fingers "i wanna be the one battling him"

"oh? that excited to have me in the team?" magnus snickers and pulls nillious out. "i'll make you regret it venegas"

"this is just to show off magnus' brawling style so don't take it too seriously" dan said

"yeah," lia narrowed her eyes annoyed at the darkus brawler while he looked back with an innocent smile  "i'll make sure not to" she mumbles

✧∘* ೃ ⋆｡˚.

the two spread out between the field. a soft breeze blew between their hair and clothes. they were far but despite this they never took their glare away from eachother

"yeah! go lia, woo!" wynton cheered from one of the bleachers as lightning barked excited by him

"uh you know this isn't a serious match, right guys?" shun said as he sat on the step above his

"doesn't matter, i wanna see lia show magnus who's boss!"

"and to think this video is all about magnus" dan sighed

shun slowly shook his head with a smile

"ok, aaand" dan set the camera up and hit record "we're rolling!"

that was their que to start. holding his hand up magnus yelled "drome up!" and once the blue patterned drome surrounded them and the area, he took out his nillious throwing him against the hexagonal ground as he yelled "bakugan brawl!"

nillious grew in size after hitting a core, he roared and magnus put his hands on his hips with a smile,
"behold the ultimate bakugan: nillious!" magnus chuckled

"pfft, you don't know ultimate if it hit you where it hurts!" lia yelled pulling out her own haos bakugan "but i'll show you something much better! bakugan brawl!" she did the same, striking a pose and rolling out pegatrix onto a core. once she was out, the haos bakugan neighed

"ha! i'll gladly shred your little pony to pieces" the black haired boy yelled with a smile and determination by his side. he pointed his hand to his opponent and ordered his bakugan with nothing but the help of the device strapped under his sleeve "nail them nillious! show 'em what you're made of and use darkus blast!"

before nillious could land an attack, lia yelled along with the stretch of her arm: "pegatrix! dodge it and use haos wind!"

the brawl between the two lasted hours quickly turning from a friendly battle to a fair brawl and the boys on the bleachers were too invested to stop it, dan getting everything on film

this was not part of the plan, magnus was supposed to earn these peoples trust but he couldn't pass up putting lia venegas in her place. besides, she started this stupid little rivalry and it would only make sense if he ended it.

one final blow and pegatrix was down landing lia with a loss she thought wouldn't happen

the drome goes down and she drops to her kness, pegatrix rolling by her. "i lost..." she mumbled and sadly took the bakugan into her hands

"nillious, return!" the black and purple two headed bakugan took orders quickly, rolling back into ball form and making it to his partner's awaiting hand

magnus walked up to lia and stood in front of her eyeing her down "bakugan brawling is all i have and without it i'm nothing" he said
"i get your hatred against me stems from my impure methods and all the wrongs i've caused you in the past," he held his hand out "but the least you can do is accept i'm a member of the awesome ones now"

lia looked at his gloved hand, then up at magnus before taking it into her own and letting him help her up

"woah, magnus! that was amazing!" shun excitedly yelled as he ran up to the two. the looks lia and magnus gave him made him cover his mouth "I mean.. y-you did pretty okay" he said in a normal tone that fit him well

"okay?!" dan asked with a chuckle "shun was right the first time, you were awesome!"

"oh come on guys, i brawled like i do everyday" magnus said

"well that just shows how talented you really are" the pyrus brawler said not even second guessing how flattered magnus felt by the complement "anyway, we're gonna need some footage of you talking, come on," he pointed off to a tree "we've gotten the best shots over by  that tree" the two walked off with shun following leaving lia to watch

"hey you were great out there too, i'd say even better!" wynton said to his female friend with a wink, lightning barked in agreement

instead of thanking her ventus brawling friend, she began to walk off after remembering something 

"huh? where ya goin'?" wynton asked watching her leave

"come with me if you'd like, i have someone i need to see" she replied

wynton looked down at lightning and the pooch looked back. the kid shrugged and took the pup in his arms before running off with her "wait up!" he called out
