episode 29

...

a bright yellow power source stood high guarded by a dark aura, killing off any sign of life. the once colorful island stood in deserted shambles. plants and even the sky up above lost in their color and darkened to a worsening state.

everything was silent until the presence of a plane on its way made itself known. bright red eyes open close by the corecell followed by a deep rumble. tiko looked up.

visitors...

"mm, what's going on?" japanese brawler shun walked into the room, awaken by lia's scream of terror. he mumbled the question as he rubbed his eyes with his hand, other arm wrapped around his tumpee plush.

"magnus and dan were shoving each other's tongues down their throats!" the blue-haired girl frantically replied as she pointed at them causing magnus to instinctively grin.

"oh god, don't put it like that!" dan shrieked, face as red as the streak in his hair from embarrassment. "don't listen to her shun, lia is just crazy from the height turbulence it's not what it looks like!" at this point, the pyrus brawler couldn't even defend himself. his friends caught him kissing a formal rival. what was he even supposed to say?! not to mention the fact that magnus still had his arms around him and for whatever reason he refused to let go.

the aquos brawler rose a brow, smiling as he knew what went on. wynton joined in and let out a small chuckle. "dude, just calm down there's seriously no need to panic." the ventus brawler laughed. "lia and i were just surprised, that's all! we're not mad or anything, in fact now that i think about it the two of you are kinda cool together. right lia?"

"..." lia tapped her chin, staring at the floor and not giving out an instinctive reply. she kept that serious look which made wynton's smile fade.

"what? me and magnus a couple? heh, no way!" sweatdrops formed at the younger's forehead as he kept up his nervous instinct. shun knew, wynton and lia saw them kiss but he couldn't admit to it. he just couldn't. he pushed the darkus brawler away just to prove it and got up on his feet. "we're just friends wynton, i promise!"

"i honestly don't understand why you still try to hide it kouzo, even after being caught." magnus sighed, he stood up and pulled dan close again, looking over at the three that stood across from them. he reached down and pet his hair when the shorter was left surprised by the gesture. "yes, me and dan kissed and wynton now that you mention it, maybe me and dan would be cool together." he looked down at the red-streaked, smiling "hm, dan?"

dan looked back as his hands rested on the elder's chest. was he seriously asking him out? dan smiled wide as he blushed, the same wide smile he was known and loved for. for a moment, he even forgot his friends were watching them. the moment was just that perfect, playing out as if it was a perfect dream come true! "..yeah.." dan quietly replied.

it was official. dan and magnus were dating. the two exchanged smiles. one of pure joy, happy the boy he's loved for so long was finally his and the other

the other smiled out of pure malicious intent, out of his own selfish greed.

"augh yes! finally!" the yell of their aquos brawler friend snapped both boys out of it. they looked over at shun, wynton and lia as well and he simply cleared his throat and scratched the back of his head. "i mean uh, congratulations you guys..!" shun coughed.

"so that's it, the two of you are a thing now? just like that?" lia asked, hands folded back at her chest with a disapproved look. there were about three questions in that sentence and 'yes' was the answer to all of them. "i seriously can't be the only one who thinks this all wrong here."

"...what do you mean..?" wynton clicked his tongue and pulled his glasses at the brim of his nose. now his confidence that the girl was suddenly okay left him unsure. did their talk really mean nothing again?

"it's just weird, there has to be something going on between the two.. magnus can't just.."

magnus squinted his eyes. "are you homophobic, lia?"

"no no, of course not! shun is my best friend!" she chuckled.

shun looked down at his teddy bear in shame once he caught on. "i can't believe this whole time i was just seen as the gay bestfriend."

"but i'm being honest, it's just.. you and dan?" lia continued, ignoring shuns comment. "the two of you are nothing alike and to have magnus known to hate dan then date him is just.. strange."

"well you know what they say lia," wynton scooted over to her, lifting the mood by nudging his best friend's shoulder. "opposites attract! and remember what I told you, man. magnus is a totally different person now." he shrugged to show his emphasis. "I get you're worried for dan but.. I think they'll be okay."

lia looked over at the now boyfriends as they hugged, focusing on dan who wearily smiled back at her. wynton squeezed her shoulder for reassurance and shun hugged his tumpee, a little too excited for his liking.

as it all happened, magnus rested his chin on dan's head. who knew this is what it would take to get them all together again?

finally the blue haired sighed, she smiled back, opening her mouth to say something until she was stopped when the plane was suddenly hit against violently. she yelped as it toppled over to the side, tripping on her own feet and falling against wynton who gasped and stepped backward as he clutched her, nearly falling on shun as he hit his back on the wall.

magnus fell against a wall too and holding onto dan as they both let out a gasp of surprise.

"what the heck was that?" dan asked, sitting up as he rubbed his head when it seemed like the plane was moving forward again..

but he spoke too soon and they were attacked once again, this time, a beam of energy hit one of the engines and a loud blaring noise beeped overhead. "..oh no.." the plane then stopped, the power shutting off.

and then, the plane began to fall.

ugh I didn't know how else to end this. sorry for the slow updates. been doing stuff,
