episode 18

the night fell and magnus found himself outside dan's house surrounded by dan's friends and even his sister who they picked up along the way. dan's house looked so big from the outside, it was a two story and if it looked so nice from the outside, he wondered how nice it was on the inside

"trust me, my parents are gunna love you guys" dan told magnus and emily as he reached for the doorknob and opened the door. he walked in and the five followed

dan's living room was beautiful and emily gasped excited at the sight. it was painted white with couches of the same color centered around a brown coffee table in front of a flat screen tv held up by the wall. there was also a nice smaller display under the tv which held family photos and other decorations

lia wynton and shun werent so amazed by the pretty home like emily and magnus(though his amazement was jealously more than anything) were so they just sat on the couch while lia reached for the remote

"mom! dad! i'm home!" dan yelled. his parents were in the kitchen and when they heard their son they made their way to the living room imideidetly catching sight of his friends "hope you dont mind if my friends stay over, it's kind of important"

"oh that's fine. just dont stay up too late!" mrs kouzo said before seeing emily and magnus. she smiled and grabbed her ankles to reach emily's eye level "hell-o i haven't seen you two before"

"oh this is magnus and his little sister emily" dan introduced "magnus just joined the awesome ones yesterday!"

"hi" emily said with a smile "hope we're not too much of a bother"

"oh no, not at all" dan's mom replied finding the child's politeness cute "i'll happily receive any friend of dan's with open arms" "say, you wanna help me bake something for your brother and his friends?"

emily nodded "sure" she said before following dan's mom into the kitchen

this was it. magnus was in dan kouzo's house and honestly it was beautiful. he clenched his fists watching as dan laughed with his friends, this was the reason why he hated dan so much. the younger boy had everything while magnus was in the shadows with nothing

he had a nice roof, a family that loved him and so many people to hold him when the nights are cold and reasure him that it's alright

magnus never had the pleasure of a normal life. even when he was a child he had no one

he was always alone and he wanted to show dan the pain he's been feeling since childhood. this was why he was here...

"your sister is cute, i bet you're proud" mr kouzo said snapping magnus from another intense thought

"oh.. yeah" magnus said. at least he had emily

"hey wait a minute, i know you" dan's dad said after observing him closer

"you do?" magnus didn't remember running into him

"yeah! you're the delinquent whose been hugging my son"

now magnus remembered and the pink tint on his cheeks said it all. which was funny, because just a second ago he was listing out all his hatred for the red streaked

mr kouzo laughed at the others embarrassment and side hugged him "don't sweat it, kid! a girl's never held my little danny like that so if it's a boy then so be it, right?" magnus blushed harder. now he knew who dan got his sense of humor from

"bill!" mrs kouzo yelled from the kitchen doorway

mr kouzo let magnus go "err, yes barb?" he asked
