episode 8

magnus looked at himself in the mirror, gloved hands on the sink counter as he observed his expresionless face

so much went on in one day and he just noticed he had dan wrapped around his finger so well to believe some drawn out monolouge he could say anything at this point and he'd believe him

but.. why? clearly dan couldn't be this stupid. was it sympathy for all he went through or..

magnus splashed water on his face and ran his hands through his face "why should i care?" he mumbled because in reality, that should be the question. what's it to him?

dan trusted him and that's all that matters, who cares what the reasoning behind that could be?

the questioning in his head was brought to a halt when the bathroom door opens and turning he sees that small aquos brawler he already forgot the name of

"oh, hey!" he happily greets walking up to him, magnus puts on the same happy face as he runs a million names through his head until it clicks

"um, hi, shun right?"

"yeah, thats me. if it helps you remember i'm the one who doesn't say much"

magnus eyed him up and down "right"

"you know magnus, both you and i have something in common"

"really?"

"yup! we were both reqruited into the ao, though, i kinda just came outta the blue and joined to everyones surprise" he looks to his side and puts a hand over his heart "almost like you, honestly, you joining was kind of a surprise"

".. right." magnus found this boy to be an absoulute bore, how was it that dan was friends with this guy? then again, dan could probably brefriend a cardboard box and they would be more fun than japenese disapoinment over here. "well it was fun talking with you!" he was about to escape from kazami's stupid quiet voice until he stopped in front of him preventing him from leaving

"w-wait, don't go yet, there's something you need to know!" he frantically said, when he relized how loud his voice got by the way magnus' eyes widened behind his glasses, he cleared his throat "it's about dan"

"oh?" now he was suddenly intrested in hearing what he had to say "i'm listening"

shun took a deep breath and looked up at the taller boy.

he knew something like this could get him into trouble and maybe lose all of dan's trust if he found out but he had to spill it
"look, i could be wrong on this, it's all pure speculation when observing is my thing but magnus... i think dan likes you"

"really?" magnus asked unfazed. he took this confession though as a friendly thing when he was too dense to notice it himself "isn't that already obvious? he's the one who dragged me into the ao when all of you seem to have this vendetta over me"

shun thought magnus was smarter than this. just like his friends how was it that he didn't notice the little signs? "no! i mean he like likes you"

"..." magnus still didn't get it.

"he's attracted to you!"

that's when magnus raised both his brows and said "ooh"

of course! 'how was too stupid to have relized it myself?!' magnus thought

as first, the teen took it as a weird school girl confession made by someone who wasn't nervous to tell him but then it all made sense.

that's why dan was acting like this! he wanted to help him but also get closer with him to his heart's desire

"but how do you know?" magnus asked

"i noticed the little signs" shun giggled tapping the side of his head with his finger "i don't know how you didn't realize it but everytime dan is around you he's just so happy, and sometimes i notice him staring at you with this infatuated look on his face"

magnus thought about what he said and it was true. he did notice how dan was overly excited around him but he took that as part of who he was, dan kouzo was a pretty happy guy so how was that any different from the happiness he shared with his friends? but he did catch dan staring him at one point today, he just assumed he was daydreaming though

"and that's not all" shun said "sometimes dan makes flirty comments about you and doesn't even notice it" he chuckled "he called you strong today and last week , i'm pretty sure he said you were pretty"

magnus looked at himself in the mirror next to them, if what shun was saying was true then without a doubt did the pyrus brawler like him and honestly it made magnus feel a little flattered than annoyed

"so dan kouzo is in love with me" magnus chuckled "how convenient"

for being sooo observant, shun didn't notice the evil tone in the teen's voice "um, yeah" shun awkwardly chuckled too "i just hope this doesn't make things awkward between you two, i just thought you should know"

"no no, it's totally fine" magnus said "thanks for telling me"

"you're welcome" shun said with a smile. knowing magnus he thought he'd be annoyed by the news, or even mad but it was nice to see that he didn't mind "well that's all i wanted to tell you, i'll see you outside"

"okay"

shun left out the door, leaving magnus with his thoughts again. he grabbed onto the sink and smiled at himself at the mirror

with this little known fact magnus was left with another plan. suddenly, this wasn't just about the corecell but about revenge. he could use the fact that dan liked him to his advantage, flirt with him a little bit and wrap him around his finger even more.

maybe, he could even fake a relationship and leave him heartbroken at the last minute

it would be risky and take a lot of work on his end but that was the point

breaking his heart would be his goal
