episode 16

evening was starting to roll around faster than the trio imagined, it was already 6 and soon the day would be put to an end

the pyrus, aquos, and darkus brawler were still roaming around different shops when a small toy store catches shun's eye, more specifically the small yellow bears adorning the big window display

shun gasps and rushes to it

"check it out guys! they're having a sale on all tumpee plushes!" the excited boy exclaimed as he smushed his face to the glass "oh they're just so cute! we gotta go inside!"

"tumpee?" magnus questioned and he walked by the happy boy eyeing what he was losing his mind over

"i guess tumpee is like a special mascot or something?" dan explained. he never understood the appeal himself no matter how much shun tried to explain it "i don't really get tumpee but i'm glad he makes shun happy"

"saying it just makes him "happy" would be an understatement" magnus said as he pointed inside "check it out, he's already inside"

dan looked over to where shun once was and the teen was right! the boy was gone faster than a racoon would steal food.

"oh god, you're right" dan laughed "well then, let's get inside" he walked over to the door and magnus was quick to open it for him, the small bell above dinging "after you" magnus said

"oh wow, th-thanks" dan giggled

the inside of the toy shop was a welcoming environment indeed. there were shelves among shelves of all sorts of toys with the walls colorfully painted it looked like a kids dream

magnus had never seen anything like it, it took him back to a childhood he was unfortunate to never have and the sight of so much toys and child imagination amazed him for a second.

"look at him, he's already hogging all the tumpee stuff" dan laughed killing magnus' train of thought when he spotted shun looking at tumpee plushes and collectables in the corner of the store

magnus looked over as well, but his interest didn't last long "this place is lame, let's get out of here" he said before heading for the exit with his hands in his pocket. dan of course: tagging along

" where we going?" the younger asked

"just to see what we can find" magnus replied, he held the door open and when dan walked by him he grabbed his hand catching the boy off guard "come on"

"oh" they began to walk off from the store, hand in hand and once dan looked back he could see shun waving at them with a big smile on his face. so either he found what he was looking for or seeing them together like that made him happy. dan hoped it was the first option

the huge variety of stores ended at a dock. there were railings by the wooden pathway where people took in the view of the beautiful ocean or stopped to take photos. once they arrived there, dan's hand was let go and he already missed the feeling

resting his elbows on the metal railing and leaning against it, magnus looked over the horizon and smiles "look at that, the sun's beginning to set" he said

dan looked over too, leaning into the railing next to him "huh, yeah guess you're right"

the setting was perfect, like a scene from a sappy romance movie and magnus couldnt appreciate that more. he replayed over and over what to say when this moment would come, he didn't think it would be so fast but someone had to intervene and now he was trying his best to make this work according to plan. if this was any normal person, what magnus had planned would have sounded cute but considering what went on in the teen's head, it was anything but.
