episode 3

magnus could have told his little sister about his travels, about all the stolen data he had gotten his hands on, anything else; but he didn't. already knowing she would get worried and instead brought out the worst to the table.

"dan invited me to join his little crew" magnus said before drinking some milk.

"the awesome ones?" emily asked, well aware of the group.

magnus simply nodded, he was so nonchalant about the situation emily's surprise baffled him.

"and what did you do?" she asked. "you agreed, right?"

"of course i didn't!" magnus said back. "the ao mean nothing to me, they're the dirt between my heels so what's the point?"

"what's the point?" the girl scoffed, she had commited acts her brother didn't agree with either but this was unbelievable for her. "magnus, can't you see? dan wants to be your friend, he wants to get you through a better light isn't that enough to accept?"

"so? i don't want to be his friend, i don't care what his intentions are. i've made it clear before i don't want anything to do with him or his pack of worthless buddies and that's final!" magnus stood up, the chair he sat on scooting back as he slammed his gloved hands on the table startling the girl. the milk glasses shook with his aggressive force, magnus had never snapped like this at least not in front of his sister and he noted this when he quickly calmed down.

"oh no, e-emily im sorry"

his anger expressed towards the group made sense, they've caused him enough pain to be back at where he started as a brawler. he lost his job at aaanimus and they were the reason.

he was back to being poor and weak. a place he promised both himself and emily they would never be back in yet here they were

he did not want to join the group that caused him to be miserable and that stupid smile on dan kouzo's face as he invited him in made things worse.

"you've just done so much for me, it'd be nice if you did something for yourself." the pink shirt girl said beginning to get up. "think about it brother, maybe being with people who care will be good for you" she grabbed her empty glass and set it in the sink looking at him one last time. "don't just do it for you, do it for me" and with those words, she walked to her room leaving the boy all alone with his thoughts and his half eaten piece of bread.

and wasn't until emily left that magnus really began to think...

he took his phone out and looked at the data he had perceived from the dusk industries break in "i said i'd do anything to get my hands on that power..." he said as he scrolled through and that's when an idea popped in his head, an idea so malicious it made him smile once he thought of it.
