I was mad but shocked he even said it because he was giving himself up.
But I was done with feeling this hurt. I was let out of the hospital later that day. I had a broken leg. I had to wear boot around my left leg. Luke walked me out to the car and took me home.
When we got to my house he walked me inside.
Luke: do you want me to stay
Me: no I'll be fine I think I'm just going to sleep anyways
Luke: okay I'll talk to you later okay
Me: okay
Luke: I love you Hannah
Then he kissed me and left.
That was the first time he has ever said I love you to me. Well the first time I actually payed attention. But the weird part is that I loved him back to.
I laid on my couch and tried to go to sleep. Right when I finally fell asleep my front door burst open. It was my mom. It wasn't just my mom she brought her dumb boyfriend over and they were kissing it was kinda gross.
Me: before you two get to carried away im right here
That made my mom pull apart real quick.
Mom: what the he'll happened to you
Me: your wonderful ex husband, dylan, and matt did this. They caused the car accident I was in.
Mom: go to your room
Me: want to at least help me.
Mom: no figure it out your damn self.
I just decided to go to the kitchen grabbed some of her tequila and decided to walk out of the house. I decided to go into the barn in the back of the house.
I laid on the blankets that were still on the floor. I was getting drunker by the minute. I was mad. I couldn't believe my own mother didn't even care I was hurt, why should I ever think she cared for one minute.
I decided to call luke.
Me: hey
Luke: hey what's up
Me: can you come over to the barn
Luke: you been drinking
Me: please I need you right now
Luke: yes of course but you have to stop drinking
Me: ok
Then I hung up. I was crying by the time he came over. Because I just remembered how well I was doing on not drinking. I thought since I restarted drinking maybe Luke will leave me.
Then Luke walked in.
Luke: hey
I looked up with tears streaming down my face.
Luke closed the door and sat next to me. He grabbed the tequila away from me and held me close to him.
Luke: you have to stop drinking
Me: I know I was doing good for awhile
Luke: you were what happened
Me: my mom came home with her boyfriend friend kissing and she got mad because my leg was broke and she told me to go to my room and I couldn't go up there and she doesn't even care anymore whether I'm hurt or I need her she doesn't care. That is when I started to drink. And I was afraid I was going to mess something up between you and me because I started again.
Luke: you will never mess anything up between you and me. Your mom loves you just people do dumb things to show it and forget to show it sometimes. You just need to promise one thing for me.
Me: and what's that
Luke: to stop drinking
Me: promise
Luke: and if you want to drink or anything like that don't just call me first okay
Me: okay
Then I laid my head on his chest.
Luke: for Christmas break coming up. I was wondering if you would want to go on a little trip with me.
Me: of course I would love too
Before I dosed off into a sleep Luke said I love you then I responded with I love you more.
Then I fell asleep.
Luke's POV
While Hannah was asleep her phone went off. It was matt.
I was really pleased at him at the moment so I quietly got up and answered it.
Me: what the hell do you want
Matt: I wanted to say sorry to Hannah
Me: you have hurt her enough you can't fix any of this
Matt: it still helps to say sorry
Me: just forget about her ever forgiving you ever again
Matt: just watch you back Luke
Then the call ended
I hated him. Like what the hell would he ever do.
Hannah's POV
When I woke up I saw that Luke was passed out I checked my phone. I had a text from my mom.
Mom: there is 1000 dollars in the cookie jar. I am leaving with mike for awhile. I just need time by my self and him for awhile. Love you
I couldn't bet that she just goes off and leaves me to claim she needs time to herself. She has nothing but time to herself. But I guess that's how my life works anymore. People just choose when to leave but I can't choose when I want to leave my own life.
Then I got a knock on the barn door. I opened it. It was alex and Spencer. I gave them the biggest hug ever.
Me: I missed you guys
Spencer: me and Alex heard about your mom leaving and thought you needed a friend
Me: how did you know
Alex: Matt knew before anyone did and know the town knows.
I sat next to Luke. When I sat next to him he woke up.
Me: I can't believe this im never going to get away from anything that the school says or anyone in town why does it keep following me
Then someone knocked on the door. It was Matt and Dylan my two favorite people.
