Everyone thinks life is full of happiness, love, hope. But in reality life is a roller coaster it goes up and down it's full of all sorts of surprises.

Which brings me back to what Rikki needed me to do.

Rikki: I need you to get Luke to go on a date with me

Me: ok

Rikki: if you don't hell will come for you

Me: got it I'll take care of it

Then she left. I closed the door and just closed my eyes. I texted Luke asking if we can hang out. I hated that I had to make him and Rikki date. When I thought I actually had feelings for him.

Then I headed to Luke's house.

Luke: hey

Me: can we talk outside

Luke: yeah

We sat on the steps.

Me: who do you like

Luke; why

Me: it's just a question

Luke: Rikki why

Me: that's actually funny because she likes you too

Luke: really

Me: yeah and she wants to date you

Luke: cool I'll text her later

Me: well I have to go

I hated doing this. I knew I wouldn't of had a chance with him of course he liked the sluttiest girl in school no doubt everyone did.

I just left his house. I walked. I don't know why but when ever I take walks it helps me think and run away from my problems. I hated being in my house so damn much.

I ran into Carter while I was walking. I tried so hard to ignore him until he grabbed my arm.

Carter: Hannah what's wrong

Me: I can't right now

Then I started crying and then I hugged Carter and just cried.

Carter: hey what happened

Me: I want to just leave this fucked up town

Carter: do we need to invite everyone over for a night in the barn like we use to

Me: yeah but I don't want luke there

Carter: why what happened

Me: I was stupid to think I had a chance with him

Carter: wait it rejected you

Me: not exactly

Carter: do you want to talk about it

Me: not really

Carter: I'll get everyone and I'll be over in an hour.

Me: ok

Then I left. I went home changed into a sweater and sweatpants. I grabbed some pops, alcohol, snacks, and some blankets and pillows.

Then everyone showed up in the barn.

We all sat in the circle on the blanket cover floor.

Spencer: why isn't luke here

Carter: Hannah didn't want him to come

Matt: why

Me: I don't want to talk about it

Spencer: what happened

Alex: is it because Rikki showed up

Me: how did you know

Alex: I was walking to the library and I passed your house and noticed Rikki there.

Me: yeah it's kinda her fault but I was dumb to think I even had the slightest chance with him.

Spencer: you asked him who his crush was and he said Rikki and now they are dating

Me: yeah I was dumb that I thought it was possible that a guy I actually like would date me

Carter: that doesn't make sense why he said Rikki he can't stand her

Me: wait what

Carter: he hated Rikki he has a crush on someone else

Me: who?

Carter: he likes you

Me: then why did he tell me Rikki.

Carter: I have no clue

I took the bottle of vodka and started drinking it.

Spencer: maybe he didn't want you to know

Me: I'm just done being someone people play with it's happened to many times.

Spencer: I know but maybe luke is different

Me: Luke is the most popular guy in school he will just be a player first he will play Rikki and then go to me

Matt: maybe he knew about the whole Rikki thing

Me: I doubt that

Matt: don't be so hard on him he might now

Me: there's only that small chance I can't just rely on that

Carter: maybe matts right

Me: I'm just done with all this drama.

Then someone knocked on the door.

I answered it was Luke.

I closed the door behind me as I stepped outside.

Me: Luke what are you doing here

Luke: I know why you didn't invite me and I totally get it

Me: you do

Luke: you felt like you never had a chance and that's not true because you do

Me: no I don't

Luke: I knew that Rikki was going to blackmail you into making me date her so that's why I just went on a date with her and break up but I actually like you.

Me: really

Luke: yes I didn't want you to get hurt

Me: that's so sweet

That's when I realized maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel.
