I paid what I owed for the taxi ride and pulled my suitcase behind me, heading up the path to my front door.
Turning the key in the lock I heard the familiar click sound and swung the door to my house open. It felt eerily quite as I flicked on the lights down stairs.
Archie was still at the doggy hotel, I was going to pick him up tomorrow morning. I switched on the tv to a music channel and made myself a cup of tea.
I pulled my phone from my hand bag.
I'm home x
I sent a quick message to Tom. It was getting late so I thought he would probably be asleep.
Glad you got home safe, miss you xx
His message made me smile. I took my cup of tea and fell into the comfy couch.
Thankyou for such an incredible trip.
I replied.
I put my phone down next to me and listened to the tv for awhile longer before my eyes were getting heavy and I hauled my ass up to bed.

I'd been back in London for three days now. Today was my second day back at work and it was the busiest I've ever seen it.
Mary and I were both flat out for the whole day. When 5 pm finally rolled around, we were glad to close up shop for the day.
We straightened up the shop and Mary closed out the till and I copied todays sales into the report book. By 5:40 we were out of the shop and ready to go home.
"See you tomorrow" I said to Mary before beginning my walk home.
"Bye Rhylee" She said with a wave before hopping into her car. She offered me a lift almost every day and usually I declined, preferring to walk. It was still a kind gesture from her though.
I pulled my headphones and phone from my bag I saw that I had a text from Tom and I opened it excitedly.
The message said that they were boarding their flight to Japan now. The time stamp read over thirty minutes ago, I tapped out a quick reply wishing him a safe flight but I didn't think he would see it till they landed.
As I was walking home, the sky turned more grey with each passing minute. I pulled my small umbrella from my handbag and opened it up as a sprinkle fell from the sky. I knew within minutes the light rain would turn much heavier so I picked up my pace. Eager to make it back to my house before the downpour.
I had just rounded the gate at the front of my house before it was pouring. Keys in hand ready to go, I shoved them into the lock and Archie came bounding over to me.
Shortly after getting home I gave Arch his dinner. I poured myself a large glass of wine and began cooking for myself. I opted for a home made pizza because I was feeling lazy. After adding the toppings to my pizza, I put the tray into the oven and sat down to watch some trash tv while it cooked.
I could smell the pizza from the oven so I hopped up to check if it was ready. The cheese on top had turned golden brown and was ready. I cut through the base with a pizza cutter and transferred it to a plate. Resuming my place on the couch I finished off my dinner and the wine I had poured earlier.
My phone was buzzing from the other side of the couch and I hurried to answer it.
"Hi!" I squealed into the phone.
"Hi bitch!" My sister answered. Bitch was a term on endearment between us.
"How are you?" She said next.
"Yeah I'm good, how about you?" I asked.
"Not bad, I saw some photos of you around Paris. How was the trip?"
"It was amazing.. seriously it was incredible" I said with a grin so big my cheeks were hurting already.
"I get the feeling you've got some more details than that Rhy" Kelly said with a teasing tone.
"Okay, so the guy that I went with. I've been seeing him for a few weeks now, but when we were in Paris he asked me to be his girlfriend" I said excitedly.
"Oh wow!" Kelly said. I could tell she was smiling on her end of the phone.
"I know, he's incredible" I said with a blush.
"He's an actor right?" She asked.
"Yeah, he's been in a bunch of movies. Mostly recently as the newest Spiderman" I gushed, feeling proud.
"Whats he like?" Kelly asked me.
"He's so kind, he knows how to make me laugh" I started.
"We have a similar sense of humour, he's also very gentlemanly, which is so nice. I think he's just gorgeous as well. He's got a killer smile and the most beautiful brown eyes I've ever seen"
Kelly and I talked on the phone for what felt like forever. Mostly our conversation was filled with details about Tom and I. Kelly listened intently and filled me in on what was new in her life. She also brought up our parents but I told her I hadn't talked to them much.
Our conversation was slowly coming to an end and when a big yawn came over me, I said my goodbyes to Kelly and promised to call her again soon.
In my kitchen, I slowly tidied up the dishes from my dinner and cleaned down the benches. Once everything was mess free, I said goodnight to Archie and headed up to my room.
I grabbed my bluetooth speaker from my bedside table and headed into the bathroom to shower. I connected my phone to the speaker as music filled the room and I readied the shower.
Taking out the bobby pins and hair tie that kept my long locks in a sleek bun was such a relief. I gave myself a quick scalp massage to sooth the ache from having my hair tied up so tight.
Steam and music filled the air of the bathroom as I stepped into the shower. The temperature was just right and it felt like the stress of the day was being washed away from my body, being carried down the drain like the water around me.
I finished off my shower and started on my skin care. After applying all my products and towel drying my hair I picked out some pjs from my wardrobe and got dressed.
Turning the volume down on my speaker, I sat it on my bedside table and picked a chill playlist. I scrolled through my social medias for awhile, there was tonnes of fan accounts talking about Tom and the cast of Spiderman Homecoming being in Paris recently. My name was mentioned a few times as well.
A few fans had managed to take some sneaky photos of us all hanging out at the Eiffel Tower and some people were loosing their shit in the comments about Me being with the group and how I was laying in Toms lap.
Some of the comments were funny and I pushed the like button on those, others were pretty rude but I didn't get involved with those. Tom was tagged in the comment section hundreds of times by fans asking for an answer wether we were dating or not.
Tom and I hadn't discussed when or if we were going to make it known we were dating. Right now we were just enjoying this new and exciting stage for us.
I wasn't against telling people but I was enjoying the privacy we had while it lasted.
Before long, I could feel myself getting very tired. Luckily it was Saturday tomorrow so I didn't have work.
I hadn't heard from Tom yet but I sent him another text telling him that I missed him and I hoped their flight was going well. Plugging my phone into its charger and switching off my lap, I sunk back into the pillows and drifted off to sleep.
