Christmas has passed by way too fast for my liking, but I felt grateful to have spent it with Tom and his family. On Boxing day, Nikki and I headed out to London early to make use of the sales. We farewelled Tom's family as he dropped me and Archie home.

Tom walked me to my door and kissed me goodbye, telling me he would see me soon. Mary and I continued to make a killing from the boxing day sales at the shop. I had let her know about my plans to have a New Years Eve party and she gave me the day after off, knowing I would most likely be in no state to work.

I finished up work at 4:30 and headed down to my local liquor store, buying probably way too much alcohol but hey, it was going to be a good night.

Tom picked me up from the store so I didn't have to lug all the bottles home by myself. When we got in we got straight to setting up for the party. Archie was having a sleepover at Dom and Nikkie's house tonight, and I'm sure he was having a great time.

I stacked the chairs on top of each other in the corner, pushing the dining room table as far up against the wall as possible so we had more space. I put away my photo frames not wanting them to get damaged. The kitchen island bench was free of everything so there was space for the themed drinks I was making.

Tom was out in the backyard setting up the fairy lights and sound system. I had dropped in my neighbours letterboxes a note about the party tonight.

The theme for tonight's party was Heaven and Hell and I couldn't wait to see everyones costumes. We had invited Stacey, Harrison, the twins and a few of their friends, Lucy and Jace and another friend of Toms I hadn't met yet.

I laid out ten red cups, and ten white cups. In the red cups I mixed vodka and raspberry fizzy drink whereas in the white cups I made white russians but popped them into the fridge until people were arriving. I also had a bunch of pre cut cheeses, cold meats and veggie sticks for those who were arriving soon for a few pre drinks before the main crowd arrived.

Tom pulled open the sliding door and came back inside.

"All good?" I asked him while setting out bottles of booze at the clear end of the counter with mixers too.

"Yup, everythings ready you'll just need to connect to the bluetooth when you're ready" He said, comin to stand by me.

"I'm excited for tonight" I beamed at him.

"Me too, hopefully no fights this time" He said jokingly, with a wicked grin.

"Hey, I didn't start that!" I defended myself.

"I'm just joking babe" He said with a laugh. We continued to work around my house setting up. I had loaned a light machine from a party shop so my living room was now flooded with dark red light, the ceiling had white fluffy clouds projected up on to it.

"I'm going to get changed and fix my hair," I said to Tom.

"Do you mind if I have a quick shower?" He asked me, pressing a kiss to my temple.

"Of course not" I replied with a smile. We headed upstairs to my room and Tom ducked into the bathroom as I took a seat at my makeup vanity and began getting ready. My makeup was relatively simple and I added a line of sparkly silver eyeliner to my lids, winging it out at the sides.

I had already curled my hair this morning for work so I brushed through my locks, which was now in soft waves and I used some bobby pins to secure it out of my face in a half up half down look.
