We were all spread out through the house and backyard. I was currently pouring more drinks as we'd gone through all the others already. I was definitely past tipsy so I was a bit careless with my pouring skills, some of the drinks would be really strong. Tom was watching me laughing at my clumsiness.

"Oh shit" I said as I accidentally overfilled with lemonade, the fizzy drink spilling over the lip of the cup. I put my lips to the edge and sucked some of the liquid down before picking up the cup, finishing half the drink already.

"Want one?" I gestured to the cup, Tom nodded his head as I passed him a vodka lemonade mix. He took a sip and screwed up his face. I shrugged my shoulders at him as I laughed, wondering if he would keep up tonight.

Harry and Sam along with their friends were playing beer pong on the dining table, Tuwaine was talking to Harrison, Lucy and Jace. Just outside the door, I could see the swirls of smoke coming from Stacey. I turned to Tom,

"I'll be back soon" I said, kissing him not so gracefully. I grabbed my drink and took one for Stacey as I headed outside to join her.

"Hey baby" She said as I was met by the freezing cold air.

"Jesus its cold" I replied with a shiver.

"You aren't drunk enough yet" Stace replied with a laugh. I cocked my eyebrow at her, bringing my cup to my lips and downing it. I could tell tonight I was going to be totally hammered by the time the new year came around. Hopefully I could still stand for a new years kiss from Tom.

Stace and I stood outside, as I pinched another smoke from her. Harry opened up the door and leaned half out speaking to us.

"Hey Rhylee, some of my mates plans got cancelled for tonight, I was wondering if you'd mind them coming here?"

"Sure, how many people?" I asked him, inhaling from the cigarette again.

"I think about four or five" Harry said.

"No worries" I said to him. He disappeared behind the door again as. Tom came towards us with Harrison, Jace and Lucy, who joined us outside. I pulled my phone out and turned the music up so more as the sound echoed around the backyard. When I dropped a note to my neighbours about the party, I let them know that we'd be taking the music back inside at 11pm. I left my number at the bottom of the note in case there were any issues.

We piled into the furniture I had outdoors. I thought it was a good idea to light the fire to keep us warm and I started getting stuff ready. In my overly tipsy state, I kept fumbling with the fire lighters and twigs.

"Babe, let me do this yeah?" Tom asked, his voice sounding slightly worried.

"Good idea" I said in defeat, I also wasn't keen on accidentally lighting my hair on fire or something stupid like that. I squinted into my house to check everything was still okay. The twins were still playing beer pong with their friends and managed to rope Tuwaine into the game too.

We sat outside for a while talking and laughing with each other, enjoying each other's company. I was feeling the buzz from the booze and could tell Tom and Harrison were too, Stacey was on my level as well. Lucy and Jace were catching up to us though.

The music was pumping and I couldn't wait to start dancing. I couldn't help myself when I'd been drinking. I started grooving in my seat slowly to the beat humming to myself.

"We should take some shots" Stacey spoke up, it's like she read my mind, I hopped up a bit faster than I should have, as I wobbled slightly before composing myself.

"I'll come and help you" I said to Stacey as we navigated the grass in our heels to get back inside. Just as we were grabbing tequila, limes and salt, Sam opened the front door again as their other friends had arrived. He ushered them inside and Stacey and I called out a hello.
