Chapter 54

I kicked my shoes off quickly and reefed my dress up over my head, throwing it in the hamper. Opening the door to my wardrobe I began quickly scanning my clothes for something to wear.

I ran my fingers through all sorts of fabrics and outfits picturing how it would look on. Finally settling on something to wear, I took off my stockings and bra before slipping the sparkly top over my head. It was a light rose gold colour made from this incredibly sparkly material. The spaghetti straps fit snug on my shoulders and the cutouts at the sides of the top gave an extra bit of detail to it.

I pulled down a high waisted pair of light pair trousers and fastened them around my midsection. Hurrying down to where I kept my jewellery I added some light pink crystal studs and a few pink and rose gold stack rings. Looking up and down my line of shoes I settled for a nudish pink pair of strappy heels. They were just high enough so my pants weren't touching the ground but they were still comfortable.

After dressing, I sat at my vanity briefly pulling my hair into a messy looking ponytail. I swiped a pink toned nude lipstick across my lips and tossed it into the clutch I grabbed from my wardrobe. I checked myself over in the mirror and dabbed some powder across my face to reduce the shine.

Spritzing myself with my favourite perfume I left my room and descended the stairs. Tom was standing in the hallway waiting for me. He was leant against the wall, arms crossed over nonchalantly. He heard me coming down the stairs and looked up to me.

"Wow" He said, standing up straight while looking me up and down.

"Is this okay?" I said, looking down at my outfit.

"You look incredible" Tom uttered while running a hand through his hair.

"I could say the same for you, this shirt is amazing on you" I said, running my hand over the silky shirt on his chest. I let my hand reach up higher, wrapping it over the nape of his neck. Pulling him into a kiss I could feel my heart starting to beat faster the longer we stayed like this.

Eventually I pulled away, swiping my thumb over Toms bottom lip to get rid of the bit of lipstick left.

"Shall we go?" Tom spoke as he laced his hand in mine. Archie was fed and happily snoozing on his bed and I was ready for a night out with my amazing boyfriend.

"Lets go!" I said excitedly and locked the door behind us. Tom held my jacket out for me as I slid my arms into it, wrapping it around myself. He took my hand again as we walked down to his car, opening the door for me and checked I was in properly before closing it again.

He turned his head left and right to check for traffic before circling the front of the car to get in his seat. Putting the key in the ignition and turning it, the car growled in response.

"So, do I get to know where we're going now?" I asked a few minutes into the journey. Toms sweet sounding laugh filled the car.

"We're going to dinner at this restaurant called The Soak, and then I thought if you're up for it we could go to a movie after or something" He started out sounding very confident but then sounded less sure of himself.

"That sounds wonderful" I smiled at him, reaching for his hand. I was excited to visit the restaurant and see a movie after.

The radio played softly in the background before the song changed and I got really excited.

"Can I turn it up?" I asked my smile beaming.

"Go for it babe" He encouraged. I cranked the volume as No Diggity bumped through the speakers. I could barely contain myself before I started matching the lyrics, grooving to the song in my chair.
