We'd been browsing Dior for awhile now. I had bought a new perfume and a small leather coin purse for my sister.
I had spied the most beautiful cashmere sweater in the ladies section and I left Tom checking out the mens scents.
The sweater was probably the softest thing I had ever touched. It was a gorgeous pale cream colour that had tiny threads of silver weaved into the material. It had a rolled neck that would keep you cozy warm in winter. The sleeves looked like they tapered in at the wrists slightly.
It really was a gorgeous piece of clothing, but the price tag nearly had me in tears. I couldn't justify buying it right now, but maybe some day.
"Thats lovely" Tom said coming over to me.
"Isn't it gorgeous?" I said, staring at the sweater again.
We strolled around the shop awhile longer before deciding to move on to the next. While we were inside Dior, the level of noise outside the building was increasing and there was a crowd growing.
"Madams et Monsieur's, there seems to be a large crowd outside and photographers, please be safe as you exit the store" A member of staff said to us. They had two security guards that were blocking the entry to the shop.
Photographers had their cameras shoved up against the glass doors furiously taking photos of us, and shouting for our attention as we got ready to leave.
"Lets just stick close together and we'll be fine" Zendaya said. We all huddled closer together and the security guards opened the doors for us.
We all walked forwards together, trying to say excuse me and be somewhat polite to the paps but they were pushing us around and shouting in our faces. It was hard to try and be nice to people so close in your personal space.
"Whose the red head?"
"Tom is that your new love interest"
"Zendaya, smile"
"Look here"
"Can you pose for us"
They continued to shout at us. Tom had his arm around my back guiding me forwards. His free arm was extended outwards trying to keep the cameras out of our faces as best he could.
We shuffled forwards trying to break through the crowd. I was starting to feel really overwhelmed and my heart started to race. My palms felt all sweaty and horrible, there was this horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach. It felt like the photographers were right on top of us and they kept getting closer and closer.
"Rhylee whats wrong?" Tom asked me worriedly, picking up on my change of demeanour.
"I'm.. M'just a bit freaked out" I said and huddled closer to him, being closer made me feel slightly better.
Us talking and getting closer to each other sent the paps mad and they started shouting at us even more. One of them got so close that Tom had to tell him to step back.
That particular photographer clearly had no respect for our personal space or safety and continued to barrage us with questions all while furiously clicking his camera.
From the corner of my eye, I could see someone had lurched forwards trying to get in front of the other photographers.
I could hear Zendaya asking people to back off and Jacob asking if we were all okay as we struggled down the street, trying to find a way out of this situation.
The same person who was battling to get to the front of the others paps appeared to trip over someone else. As they stumbled and tried to regain their balance, their shoulder collided with mine with such force that knocked me sideways.
