The road to love (Legoriel Fanfic)

The first meeting.

Legolas was busy playing in the palace gardens.As a young prince he was full of energy but lacked a play-mate.He had friends but they were older and his cousins who were closest in age were far away in Imladris.

'Legolas!Come here,my son!',his father called him from behind.Legolas turned and saw his father standing in the door calling to him.

'Coming,ada',he calls back and puts down his little wooden sword with which he had been playing.He runs to his father and takes his hand, 'Yes,father?'

Thranduil leads him into the throne room and takes him to the window,Legolas looks out upon the realm with eyes full of wonder.This was a routine,the king and prince would look out on their kingdom every day,but today Legolas' eager eyes saw something that perhaps his father had missed,admist the trees,Legolas saw a young elleth,nearly his same age,riding a young horse to the palace,she was not that near yet,so perhaps Thranduil hadn't noticed.

The elleth had stunning red hair and wore a ragged cloak under which her garments were not to be seen.It was too big for her.
'Father!Look!',Legolas points out to his fatherThranduil looks towards the figure and frowns.He tells Legolas to follow him and leads the way down to the gate.

Legolas looks on filled with awe at the fear she must probably feel when she sees the king towering above her,as it shows on her face.
The king asks her some questions.Legolas realizes she belonged to a little house near the borders and an orc raid had rendered the poor thing homeless.She knew the way to the palace so this is where she came.
Legolas felt sorry for her but at the same time he couldn't help but be awed at her courage of coming all the way to the castle and standing so bravely in front of the king, when even he quailed under his father's shadow sometimes.

After her meeting with the king, Tauriel noticed a little face peeking from behind the king's gown and stared closely at him.Legolas turns and runs back inside.
He realized couldn't face her!He had never talked to any elleth his own age so he just ran into his room and shuts the door and leans against it.
