45 - Wakas

Pinagmasdan ko ang papalubog na araw sa malayong dagat. The sun's light beamed against the crystal blue waters, with its ruthless waves. Isang babae ang nakatayo sa dalampasigan habang pinagmamasdan ito. Her curly hair was half tied and the white dress she's wearing was flowing softly because of the gentle wind.

I looked at her intently. Matapos ang kasal ay hiniling niya saaking dito na tumira sa Cebu. I gladly obliged because I want to give her peace. Maayos na sila ni mama pero alam kong kahit papaano ay gusto niya pa ring humiwalay at magkaroon kami ng sariling buhay.

Valdemar Prime Holdings Inc. is now on my brothers hands. Saakin lang naman ipinahawak iyon dahil ako ang panganay. Ayden wanted to lead the company when he was young so I gave that to him. Hindi kawalan ang kumpanya saakin dahil mayroon na akong sarili ngayon, kasama ko pa ang mahal ko.

Marahan kong ipinadausdos ang kamay ko sa maliit niyang baywang nang makalapit ako. Ang hawak kong tela ay ipinalibot ko sakaniyang balikat. I hugged her from behind.

"What are you thinking?" I asked.

She tilted her head to me and smiled. "Wala lang.."

"Uh huh?" lalo kong hinigpitan ang yakap ko.

I heard her sigh before looking at the waves again. "Masaya lang ako sa buhay na mayroon ako ngayon.. Akala ko kasi noon, hindi ko ito mararanasan kailanman.."

My heart sank with what she said. She deserves all the beautiful things in this world. There is nothing I couldn't give her. I can even trade my life for her happiness.

"All my life, I proved my worth to everyone else.. Lahat ginawa ko para mahalin ako.. Para pahalagahan ako.." her voice broke. "Akala ko ay habang buhay kong patutunayan ang sarili ko sa lahat.."

Dinama ko ang pisngi niya para punasan kung mayroon mang luha habang unti-unting napupunit ang puso ko.

"A-ang sabi ko dati, hindi ako mapapagod na patunayang kamahal-mahal ako..."

I frowned. "Don't say that. Mahal na mahal kita.."

Marahan niyang hinawakan ang braso ko saka humarap saakin. Her caramel skin glowed before the sun. Her heir is getting messy because of the wind but I don't care. It's the love of my life standing in front of me.

"I realized everything when you came.." she whispered. "You became my serenity when everything was collapsing around me. You stood up and fought for me without a question. You stayed in my darkest days.. You loved me even when I don't deserve to be loved.."

Tears started falling from her beautiful eyes. Umiiyak siya ngunit puno ng kasiyahan ang mga mata niya.

Well, I guess we made it. I made it. She is happy now.

"I saw both of your madness and magic.." I answered. "I memorized and loved it all."

She nodded with a smile on her face. Hinawakan niya ang kamay ko habang pinupunasan ko ang mga luha niya.

"Looks like we made it.." she whispered.

"Look how far we've come now, baby.." I whispered back.

Siya ang mahal ko, mula sa pag-usbong ng araw hanggang sa paglubog. Mula sa kadiliman ng gabi hanggang sa paghahari muli ng liwanag. She is the beggining and the end of my love. I don't think I could ever love again after her.

"Sorry because you lost yourself finding me.." aniya sa isang malungkot na boses.

"I found myself when I found you.." I replied and kissed her forehead.
