I managed to help aunty Sino stay out of prison under the basis of self defence, thanks to her for keeping proof of the times her husband had hurt her and now the guy suffers from amnesia but aunty Sino believes he is faking it. He’s still in a hospital bed because he recently woke up not so long ago but either than that everything is fine and quiet for now. Macella is a… how can I put this, she is some character I’ll say, she’s very beautiful but she has a smart mouth and we get along all too well with her except for Aya. My little sister is a spoilt brat and it makes no sense because our parents treated us all the same, well maybe dad treated her differently since she’s a girl but either than that we all grew up receiving the same love and same treatment so it doesn’t make any sense why she behaves the way she does. It's a big day for Mercy and we can only pray that Aya doesn’t get in the way of that for her. I just got here and I am shocked to see Yanga here with the rest of our siblings considering he’s been MIA from our parents. I walk over to him and the rest of the siblings
“Hey guys, fancy seeing you here”
I say the last bit referring to Yanga and he smiles
“I came around”
he says and I smile
“It's great to have you here, mom must be thrilled. Where are they anyway?”
I say looking around having not spotted our parents and they all laugh
“Yaya was sloshed”
Miso says
“Sloshed mom plus our father”
Aya says and I laugh
“Thank you, I get the picture”
I say and they all laugh
“And Mercy? Where is she?”
I ask
“she went out for some air but that was like a while ago”
Miso says
“I’ll go check on her”
Miso says and excuses himself, I don’t miss the looks being exchanged between Aya and Yanga
“What's going on with you two?”
I ask and they both shrug
“I am not stupid, Yanga?”
He sighs
“I kissed Mercy and Aya walked in on us”
He says and I laugh
“you haven’t even been home for 24 hours and already you trying to get your dick in her? Nice one bro”
I say patting his shoulder and Aya rolls her eyes
“What the hell is it about her? She’s not even that pretty”
She says rolling her eyes and we laugh at her
“Green is not your colour baby sis”
Yanga says
“jealousy doesn’t look good on you”
I add and she huffs before storming off leaving us laughing
“And then?”
I ask him and he shrugs
“It just happened. I walked in on her in my room searching for a book and one thing led to another and we kissed. I didn’t plan it, heck I aint even look at her like that but we ended up kissing bruh”
he explains and I laugh
“does this situation kind of remind you of any love story close to home?”
I ask and he frowns
“NO! No way. I don’t like Mercy and we are not going to be the next mom and dad”
He says defensively making me laugh
“Why? Nothing wrong with a little love story”
I say and he rolls his eyes at me
“She has a stinking attitude ok! I am not playing in that turf!”
He says and I laugh
“What are you two talking about?”
Miso asks with Mercy beside him
“nothing”
Yanga says quickly
“How are you Bunny?”
I ask and she rolls her eyes, she hates the term so much but I use it to annoy her. Mercy is a cool kid and she’s funny too. I only call her that because she’s tiny like a bunny
“You know I hate that Kyle! I am nervous AF!”
She responds
“How are you? How was work? Any new interesting cases? Any new criminal I could hook up with?”
She asks and I know she’s only asking to get her nerves in check, I laugh
“Well it depends what kind you looking for, petty theft or real hardcore mafia shiit?”
She laughs
“I want hardcore in all aspects”
She responds making me laugh, she’s never hooked up with any of my clients but she always jokes about how she wants to marry her a mafia king
“I did not need to know that thank you very much!”
I say
“My ears are burning!”
Miso says dramatically and just then his friend’s appear, Prince MJ and the princess Mia. They walk over to us
“Hey you guys”
Mia says with her ever so kind smile, she’s a real beauty but she is a kid!
“Miracle, Mia”
I say and we all greet each other, they congratulate Mercy for being featured. She and Mercy get along well actually and they good friends from what I have heard, they walk away together leaving us with her brother. We all engage in a conversation until we spot mom and dad walking in together. Mom walks over to Mercy and they share a hug, I excuse myself to go and greet the parents
“Oh hey honey”
Mom says after noticing me, we share a brief hug
“You look amazing as always”
She smiles
“Thank you honey. Where are the rest of your siblings?”
She asks
“They are in the other corner and I don’t know where Aya is”
I say and she nods
“I am happy you are here”
She says
“I wouldn’t miss it for the world”
I say and then the program commences and mom is called up to say a few words
“I’d like Macella Brown to join me up here please”
She says and Mercy makes her way to where mom is standing
“Everyone this is Macella Mercy Brown, she is an amazing street artists that I ran into a month ago because I fell in love with her art. I don’t want to say much either than the fact that her art will speak for itself and you all will see why I fell in love. Mercy you can take over”
Yaya says handing the mic over to Mercy and then walks over to us. Mercy takes a deep breath and then exhales
“Hello everybody. I am Macella Mercy Brown, I am 17 years old and as Mrs Bess has already said, I am a street artist”
She takes another deep breath
“I am not big on speaking and so I’ll let my work do all the talking, I h…”
She trails off the minute I spot Kate walking in through the door
