-YANGA BESS
“I’m sorry about your grandfather”
She says and I smile
“Thank you, I appreciate it”
I say, I’m on the phone with Tiara she and I tutor together and she recently heard about my grandfather’s passing on the news
“How’s your family holding up?”
She asks
“Things are a little sad but we going to pull through. We always do”
I tell her and she giggles
“That is good, stay positive and trust me you will be good”
She says
“Thank you. What are you doing?”
I ask her
“I am on the phone with you”
I chuckle
“that’s all?”
I ask and she giggles
“Well I watching tv and then I figured I should check on you and now I am about to shower”
She says
“that must be some sight”
She giggles
“pretty sure your girlfriend’s body is hotter”
I chuckle
“we not comparing are we?”
I ask and she giggles
“no we are not but I was just saying. If I didn’t like dick so much I’d probably still her away from you”
I laugh
“Then lets be grateful you love dick”
She laughs
“Yanga what are you getting at?”
She asks me, I can tell that she is probably smiling with the way her voice sounds
“Meaning?”
I ask
“You flirting with me, state your intentions”
I laugh
“Maybe I don’t have any and I just enjoy tutoring with you”
I say and she laughs
“That’s a first. I’m not stupid Yanga Bess. A pretty boy like you? You want something from me, if we weren't disturbed by that call who knows what would have happened?”
She asks, I exhale
“Yanga I’m not going to be your side piece, your play thing when your girlfriend is back in school”
I laugh
“I never asked you to be though, why the hostility”
I ask her, she exhales
“Goodbye Yanga, the tub is full”
She says and then drops the call on me. I laugh alone and then make my way out of the room when my phone beeps a text and it's a picture from Tiara, it's a selfie of her boobs. I chuckle and respond
“Now you playing dirty”
I hit send and then put my phone on silent and then shove it in my pockets before walking out of the room to where the whole family is. When I walk in the lounge Miso and Mercy are done with the dishes and the family is playing 30 seconds. I sit down on the free chair
“You’ll join us when we done”

“Time up!”
Ase says and Miso drops the card
“Not bad Mercy”
I say and she smiles proudly
“Who is up next?”
Ase asks and it's Aya and dad, we count them down and dad starts describing what is written on the card. I decide to get up and go call Clark to check up on her
“hey you”
She answers
“You sleeping? I didn’t really account for the time zone”
She giggles
“I’m pregnant babe not sick. We can chat”
She says
“Ok that’s great, how are you? I miss you”
I say
“I miss you too, I will be flying out tomorrow”
She reports
“And how’s the case coming along?”
She exhales
“I got the loophole I needed but my client seems to have given up the fight”
She says with so much distraught I’m even worried she might lose the baby
“Stop stressing over this case Clark, you pregnant and you in your first trimester and it's really wise that you take it easy”
she chuckles
“Where did you hear that? From babies are us?”
I chuckle
“You think I didn’t google pregnancy and get books to help guide me”
She laughs and so do I
“You joking right?”
I don’t respond
“Kyle it's still early to be researching”
She warns and I chuckle
“Pregnancy is not law, you don’t have to know everything related to it”
She says and I laugh
“How did it go with the doctor? I’m sorry I couldn’t be there”
I say
“I am 6 weeks pregnant”
She says
“That’s amazing babe, I can't wait for you to come home and then we can tell everyone”
She laughs
“You happy?”
She asks
“Of cause I am”
I say without any doubt in my mind, I love Clark, I love every minute I spend with her so much that sometimes I don’t want her to leave and go to her place
“I’m glad you happy”
She says
“You make me happy Clark and I really cannot wait to make you my wife before the end of this year”
I tell her and she giggles
“You make me happy too. Can we talk about something?”
She starts off
“Sounds serious”
I say
“It kind of is, how do you feel about moving to South Africa?”
she asks taking me by surprise
“Oh?”
I say because I have no idea what to say and from what I read pregnant women are very emotional and if I say the wrong thing then she might just end up crying
“It's ok if you don’t want to”
She says quickly
“How are about we discuss this in person”
I suggest, she doesn’t respond
“I don’t want to say something and then you end up taking it out of context babe, you hormonal and I won't be able to handle you crying and yet you so far from me”
She laughs
“Oh is it?”
She says and I laugh, at least a laugh means we good
“We will discuss it in person then”
She says
“Why though? I thought you enjoyed your work that side?”
I say and she sighs
“I do but I would like to raise our child in a different environment and last time I checked you wanted to work that side and take over there”
She says
“Yes you right but that was before Elaina moved in with me and was dependent on me. Now it's different and with Boobie moving in with mom after the funeral I really don’t know anymore, I mean there's nothing bringing me to South Africa either than the law firm but even so dad has someone handling it”
