6 MONTHS LATER
-AYANDISWA BESS
My phone rings and it's Yanga. I answer
“I’m coming”
I say and he laughs
“Make it snappy Melody”
He says and I roll my eyes. He can be so dramatic when he wants
“Calm your tits”
I say and drop the call on him. I look around and make sure I have everything before heading out with my things and my phone in my bag. I get downstairs and he gets out of the car
“You do know that we only going for the weekend right?”
He asks and I shrug
“So? Help me put these in the boot”
I say and he helps me load my bags in the boot
“What do you have in here? Rocks?”
He says dramatically making me laugh
“Clothes dummy!”
I say and he huffs
“This is a lot for a weekend. It's a funeral not the Matt Gala”
He says and I roll my eyes as he loads the last bag. I leave him locking the boot and secure the front seat. He gets in and starts the car
“where are mom and dad?”
I ask
“They flew there yesterday, you, Miso, Mercy and I will be flying there today”
He says
“Is Miso out of school already?”
I ask looking at the time
“he should be, call him”
He says and I dial Miso
“Little bro”
I say
“Hey sis, wassup?”
He asks
“We just left my res and on our way home. Have you guys packed?”
I ask him
“Yeah I’m all packed, I’ll go ask Mercy”
He says and I hear some shuffling before Mercy comes on
“Hey”
She says
“Hi sisi, you finished packing?”
