-MACELLA BROWN
Lately Yanga has been offish, I don’t know. Maybe it's the work load or stress or something but there's something going on with him, maybe his grandfather’s death affected him more than he lets on and I’m worried about him with how he’s been acting. After his departure I get dressed and leave the apartment to get a morning after pill and maybe roam around until he calls me. I walk into the pharmacy and get the pill then buy water and take it as soon as I am out then make my way to maybe a restaurant or maybe window shop while I wait.
I am at the mall now and it's been an hour now since Yanga left his place, I did get something to eat and ended up posting it on my IG story tagging Yanga in the story with the caption ‘Solo date cause man’s decided to leave me for work’ with sad emojies
“You Mercy?”
Someone says and I frown confused because I don’t go out much when I am here so for someone to know me it's shocking
“I am sorry, I have no clue who you are”
I try to say as politely as I can
“You don’t know me but I know you from Yanga’s statuses and his Instagram”
She says with a smile and I nod
“That’s uhhhm…”
She giggles
“I’m sorry for being weird. I am Tiara”
she introduces and I smile
“he and I share a couple of classes”
She explains and I nod
“That’s nice”
I say, I don’t consider myself as a nice person especially to strangers. Growing up in the streets will teach you to be vigilant of who you let into your life but Tiara seems beautiful and innocent, she looks harmless
“I don’t mean to be forward but where is he?”
She asks and I shrug
“he had to rush to help out his friend set a paper”
She nods
“That’s sad, do you study around here? I never see you on campus”
She says and I frown
“I am sorry if I seem forward, I’ll leave you to continue with your shopping”
She says making me feel bad for what I said
“I’m the one that’s sorry. I don’t live around here nor study around here. I only visit whenever I can”
I say and she nods
“I was here to grab lunch with a friend, would it be forward of me if I invited you? I mean I know how long it can take to set a paper and stuff”
She says and I smile
“You a tutor too?”
