-YANDISWA BESS
This morning we sat down with Kate and she actually told us about her daughter Kim, I feel so sorry for her and honestly I have no idea how I would react if I heard that I was loosing one of my kids. Old as they are, I am terrified to bury my kids. I’ve already lost one and it was painful, how much more if it were to happen with these ones that I’ve known for over 15 years? After breakfast and hanging out with the kids I dress up with my husband sitting there all dressed up watching me intently
“What?”
I ask while fixing my hair
“You look beautiful”
He says and my cheeks turn red
“Thank you Hubby”
I say looking at him in the mirror and he gives me that hungry look
“You really gotta look this good when you meeting up with Ash and Serena?”
He asks and I chuckle
“Don’t worry Bess, this rock is really hard to miss for anyone”
I say waving my ring and he chuckles
“Just making sure it's big enough”
He says and I smile and turn to look at him
“So you driving me?”
I ask and he shrugs
“If you want me too then of cause I will. I’ll be meeting up with the guys”
He says and I raise an eyebrow
“You never mentioned anything to me about meeting the guys”
I say sitting on top of him with my knees on either side of his body
“I thought I did. We decided this morning my love, we’ll probably be the ones getting sloshed tonight”
He says and kisses me making me laugh
“So I’m playing the chauffeur today?”
He nods
“Or we can always request. Lets go out as couples later and get drunk as we used to when we were younger, we’ll request”
He suggests with that naughty smile of his
“I am game. I’ll talk to the girls and then we’ll club hop”
I say and kiss him then break it wiping his lips
“I love you Mafaku”
He says and I can't help blush
“I love you more”
I say and then get off him and fix myself one last time before we head out.
“You look amazing. Where to?”
Aya asks as we head out of our room
“We have a life”
Derrick says and I chuckle
“He’s right, don’t wait up for us”
I add and she laughs out loudly
“You crazy! Come let me take a few snaps of you guys”
She says and we stand by the wall that has the family’s black and white portrait and then start posing while Aya takes different pictures of us until we tell her to stop
“You guys really look amazing honestly! I am so posting these on my insta”
She says sounding all so excited
“Better send me all those pictures on Whatsapp”
I say and she nods, we head downstairs where Yanga is sitting watching tv alone
“Where’s Mercy?”
I ask him
“I don’t know, probably in her room”
He says and I nod as we head out saying our goodbyes. Melo opens the door for me and I get inside and then he goes to his side and starts the car after closing his door
“There seems to be a little tension between Mercy and Yanga”
I start off and Melo frowns turning to me
“Meaning?”
He asks and I shrug
“I don’t know, it's like something happened between them. I don’t Melo, are we missing something?”
I ask and Melo chuckles
“You are seeing things Sthandwa sam”
He says and I shake my head
“Yesterday when I went looking for Mercy, she walked out of the bathroom with swollen lips and just a few minutes after she walked out Yanga walked out too. Coincidence much?”
I ask and he laughs, I may act blind and everything but I notice. I have noticed and I know my son when he’s busy with someone and I think he is busy with Mercy and the way he defended her earlier today says a lot. Mothers see these things
“Nah, must have been a coincidence. Mercy wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize her relationship with us”
He says
“And you think her dating Yanga would be such a bad idea?”
I ask turning to look at him and he shrugs
“We’ve taken Mercy in as a daughter and it would be weird if they dated Yaya”
He says and I sigh
“I came into your home like a sister to Ase”
I say and he chuckles
“That’s different and you know it. We met before you came into my home”
He says defensively making me laugh
“So it would have been ok if they had met before we took Mercy in? Melo however way you want to look at this but they are young and their hormones are all over the place and who knows, they might be good for each other”
I say turning my attention back to the road
“We still don’t know this Mercy enough to trust her with Yanga. Look, Yanga is just dealing with some stuff and maybe she’s just there and whatever they probably feel for each other will pass all in good time. Mercy knows better than to ruin this opportunity”
“Opportunity?”
I scoff with my eyes almost popping out of their eyes
“What do you mean opportunity?”
He sighs
“I didn’t mean it like that. All I’m saying is that she’s smart and she knows better. The boys are off limits”
He says and I chuckle sarcastically
“Then maybe you ought to have that conversation with Yanga so that he is also informed. Any kind of relationship is a two way street, it wouldn’t be fair to make only one of them pay”
I say defensively and he sighs
“We don t even know whether there's anything going on between the two of them so lets not argue over this”
