After lunch with my siblings I decide to act on their advice and make a move on Clark. It would suck if I misread everything because rejection is a b*tch! I take a quick shower and then get dressed then call the receptionist to send me Clark’s home address and I’m grateful when I get it, I go to my car and drive to her place calling her on the way

“Hello?”

She says

“Hey Clark”

I say, please understand I have no idea how to mack on a girl and right now I have no idea what to say or how to go about it

“h-hi Kyle”

She says and I sigh

“Are you busy?”

I ask her and she goes silent for a while

“You still there?”

I ask her

“y-yes I am. To both questions”

She says

“oh. Ok, bye then”

I say and call Yanga same time

“She said she’s busy”

I say as soon as he answers and he laughs at me

“I would too after how you did things this morning. Go over to her place and don’t talk much but kiss her and make her wish she weren't busy”

He says

“Surely that’s creepy and rapey”

I say and he laughs

“We get it, you’re a lawyer but dude! Make the first move and let her be the one to decide whether or not she wants to push you off or continue kissing you. Bye Kyle and good luck”

He says cutting the call on me. I laugh to myself, wow! I stop by a drive thru and get us something to eat because I was taught to never show up empty handed. I drive to her place and ask a person driving in to sign me in after a lot of explaining. I make my way to her flat then knock on her door. She comes and opens the door, she is as beautiful as she was when I saw her earlier

“Kyle, what are you doing here?”

She asks clearly shocked to see me, I feel my palms itch and suddenly I can't breathe or speak. I clear my throat

“I thought I’d bring you something to eat. Your favourite”

I say and hold out the paper bag, she looks at me and then at the food then she takes it

“Thanks”

she says and I nod

“So, I guess I’ll see you at work then”
