You grimaced in pain, holding your ankle. It was the fourth time you'd been kicked or knocked down that game.
It was one of the last games of the season, and the Bluewings were playing Busan IPark, a scrappy team fighting relegation. It was still 0-0 near the end of the game, and they badly needed a win to save their season.
Being one of the best players, you already had a target on your back most games; now that it was known you were dating Rosé, things had only gotten worse.
It was unclear if they were just trying to get in your head, or if it was anger at a foreigner dating a Korean idol, or just plain jealousy; whatever the case may have been, it gave opponents more ammo to get under your skin and try to get you off your game.
You spat out a mouthful of grass and brushed the dirt off your jersey. Suddenly every big screen in the stadium was showing Rosie's distressed face. The cameras had spotted her and Jisoo in the crowd, and she looked upset and really worried about you.
"Aw, she's gonna cry" sneered the big defender who had knocked you over. "Don't worry, we'll give her something to really cry about."
"Get stuffed" you said, getting back to your feet. Even if it hurt you couldn't show signs of weakness, and you also didn't want Rosie to worry too much.
The good news was the foul had occured in the penalty area and your team now had a penalty kick. You gave the ball to Jun, since he was the penalty specialist, but he felt bad for you for all the times you'd been fouled. He also might've seen Rosie's face on the screens.
"(Y/n), I think you deserve to take it" he said.
"It's fine dude, you got it."
He hesitantly accepted the ball from you but then got an idea. He came over and whispered in your ear, and you smiled and nodded.
He lined up the penalty kick and the referee blew the whistle. He moved towards the ball, but instead of shooting he did something else. Everyone was surprised except for you, who knew what he'd planned.
All your teammates cheered and surrounded you two, hugging and high-fiving. You looked up high in the stadium to where you knew the girls were sitting (in a private VIP box so they wouldn't be mobbed). It was hard to see them from here, but Rosie's smile was so big you couldn't miss it.
"She's not crying now, ya wasteman" you smirked at the player who'd kicked you moments before. Revenge is sweet, you thought.
It was nearly the end of the game, and it would've been nice if it ended that way. However, that defender was now fuming and wouldn't let it go.
The play restarted, and your team got a corner kick. The huge guy was marking you, shoving you around and trying to get in your face.
"I bet she's not smiling as much as she did when Jungkook was piping her down" he taunted.
"Fuck off, don't you dare talk about her that way" you said, feeling your temperature rising.
He laughed, realizing he'd struck a nerve. "So when you kiss her, what does Jungkook's dick taste like? That slut is probably still sucking it-"
You lost your cool and shoved him hard in the chest. Still, he was a big guy and it wasn't enough to knock him over. But it didn't matter - he gave a fake wail of pain and threw himself to the ground, clutching his face.
