33 - Water For Elephants

You awoke to the sound of Rosie opening the door of your hotel bedroom. She was up already, and looking gorgeous with her silk nightgown, messy morning hair, no makeup and warm smile. On top of that, she was carrying a tray with your favorite breakfast on it.

"Chae..." you mumbled tiredly, sitting up in bed. "You're an angel."

"You deserve the best" she said sweetly and kissed your forehead, setting the tray in front of you. She climbed in bed beside you and you ate together.

"You're up early" you remarked, seeing it was barely 7:00 and now that Blackpink had wrapped up their South East Asia tour you were pretty much on vacation.

"We have big plans today (y/n)!" she said with wide eyes, her excitement showing. "We're going to an elephant sanctuary!"

"Wow sounds fun! Will we get to ride them?"

Rosie gasped and looked horrified. "No of course not! Don't you know that's really cruel to them?"

You were startled. "Huh? No, I didn't."

"Yes, it's not good for their backs and on top of it those poor elephants are treated very badly. The way they tame them is very very cruel, they even beat them and..."

She started to tear up so you quickly put your arms around her and pulled her into your chest. "I'm sorry baby I didn't know that, thanks for letting me know."

She wiped her eyes and nodded. "It's ok my love, you just didn't know. That's why I want to go to this place, they rescue abused animals and give them a new home where they're well looked after."

You smiled at her, "Well I can't wait to see them, it's going to be fun."

"Really fun! Now let's eat and get ready so we can get there early."

An hour later and you five were pulling up outside Wildlife Friends Foundation Sanctuary. Rosie was overflowing with excitement and starting hopping up and down once the elephants came into view. You held her hand and followed her up to what looked like the main office.

"Ah, Blackpink!" A smiling older woman said and a bunch of the other staff turned their heads and excitedly rushed over to your group. "We've been expecting you!"

Lisa talked with the woman in Thai for a minute and then pointed to Rosie.

The woman had an ear to ear smile when she saw her. "So this is Chaeyoung! We are so very grateful for your support, your generous donation will help us rescue many animals from exploitation."

"Donation? How much did you donate?" you asked, turning to your girlfriend. The other girls also looked surprised.

"Oh, doesn't matter" she said shyly, looking down.

"No, tell us Chaeng" Lisa insisted.

Rosie didn't want to answer, but the older lady did it for her. "Chaeyoung was kind enough to make a donation of 2 million dollars!! She didn't tell you??"

Everyone including you gasped, since she'd never mentioned this before. 2 million was a lot, and you knew her net worth was around 6 million so you were all very impressed. An angel indeed, you thought. How did I get so lucky to have her?

"That's amazing Chaeng. You know what, I'm going to make a donation too" Lisa said.

Inspired by Rosie, you, Jennie and Jisoo all nodded and agreed to join as well.

All.the staff cheered and looked overjoyed. "Oh thank you all so so much, you are such wonderful people! To be honest, it's quite expensive to run this place and we've been struggling a lot financially, but your generosity will help keep us going for a long time!"
