"What's the matter baby?" you asked as you closed the car door with Rosie sitting in the passenger seat. You had a concerned look on your face and placing your hand gently on hers. You had a feeling it was something to do with Yang Hyun Suk, the man who had supposedly "stepped down" from his CEO role at the company, but was still very involved.
Rosie explained as best as she could without tearing up. "My solo is delayed again. He said he hates all the songs I wrote."
"What? Why??" you asked. "All the songs you showed me that you wrote were incredible... honestly. The fuck is wrong with that crusty old lobster?"
It was true. She had been able to secretly show you a few of the demo songs she had written, and it had blown your mind how artistic and moving they were; a couple were even love songs dedicated to you, and they were so beautifully written and composed you'd been moved profoundly.
"I guess they're just not good enough" she said, looking down sadly.
"That's cap. Those songs you written are easily Ed Sheeran level, plus they have your own unique touch" you immediately replied.
"Well the thing is... YG wants me to write break up anthems. Something like another Kill This Love with a drop. He said it's the only concept he'll accept, and my love songs or songs about my real life are stupid and nobody cares about that."
"What the hell. Those are amazing songs, I know Blinks and the public in general would love them. Why is he so stuck on break up anthems? It's like after the success of DDU-DU DDU-DU, Kill This Love and How You Like That, he's stuck on the theme of sassy break up type and he doesn't want to try anything else."
"That's exactly it (y/n). But I don't want to write break up songs. Because I don't want to break up with you!! I want to write love songs" she pouted.
You rubbed your thumb fondly over her hand. "Hey, don't let him hurt your love of music Chae. I know how frustrated you are, but at the end of the day you can still write songs you like. Even if that old bastard won't release them."
"You're right" she said with a smile smile and leaned over to kiss you on the cheek. "Thanks for always being there for me. Hey, we should get going home it's getting dark."

At last it was the day of your anniversary. You were nervous to be honest. Not that anything would necessarily go wrong - but just the fact that you'd made it to a whole year with the girl of your dreams, your childhood best friend, and the prettiest and sweetest girl you'd ever known was enough to sent golden tingles all through your body. And today you'd be celebrating that. At least it was a happy kind of nervous.
When you opened your eyes you found yourself face to face with her. Somehow it didn't even feel real. You smiled at each other, and she giggled before squeezing you as tight as her little chipmunk arms could and planting a soft kiss on your lips.
"Happy one year together (y/n), my love" she said with a lovely, shimmering smile.
"Happy one year Rosie, the love of my life."
You looked in to each other's eyes, carressing your bodies closely together. Neither of you needed to say anything at all; at this point you'd spent a year in a relationship, and a couple years knowing each other as adults - not to mention your childhood summers spent together in New Zealand. Despite the time gap being apart, it was like you and her had never skipped a beat. It felt like your souls went back even further.
For what could've been anywhere from 2 minutes to hours, you two did nothing but make loving eye contact and smile. Your eyes said a thousand words to each other; a special kind of communication without words that only soulmates are capable of. It was a powerful unified feeling, perhaps even more intimate than making love.
