Gabriel stood silent for what felt like an eternity.

"Oh.. Nothing. Forget it." Gabriel shook his head, continuing to walk until I stopped him.

"Jonas said the exact same thing. But seriously, what's going on? It's pretty obvious that whatever it was, really affected him. What's up?" I question, arms crossed as I waited for a response.

"Hey, Isaac. We're going to be late." I heard Jonas shout from afar.

"I'm coming!" I shouted back, looking at Gabriel.

"So?"

He sighed and shook his head once again.

"We were just.. Arguing over something stupid. Trust me."

I raised an eyebrow at him, not fully believing him, but it was pretty clear either I took that as the answer, or no answer at all since he started heading to his other class.

I caught up to Jonas.

"So.. What were you two talking about?" He asked.

"Nothing." I replied.

"Nothing much."

He furrowed his eyebrows.

"Yo! Joe, Zac. We've been looking for you."

I turned around and saw Ryan and Lizzy.

"Hey guys." Jonas went back to smiling.

"So, we met again, huh?" He said to William and Dylan.

"I only agreed to this so I wouldn't have to go to my own school." Dylan stated.

"And who's this little cutie you got here?" Lizzy said as she crouched down to be Blake's height.

"He's just some kid." I answered.

"Just some kid?" She repeated, an eyebrow raised.

"Audrey's nephew." Jonas whispered.

"Oooh. Well hi there. I'm one of Isaac's friends. I have some younger siblings I'm sure you'd love to meet."

Her younger brothers waved at Blake, as the kids introduced themselves to each other, she looked at Emma.

"Don't say it, is that Emma?" She smiled as she glanced over at Emma who was talking with the other kids.

" 'Kay, I won't.. But yeah. She really grew up didn't she?" Jonas patted his sister's head proudly.

"For sure, the last time I saw her she was a toddler!" Lizzy said, mind blown.

"Time flew by so fast, didn't it?" Jonas chuckled.

"It really did." Ryan agreed.

We turned to look at him. I almost forgot he was here too, but he didn't seem to mind since he seemed pretty distracted on his phone the whole time we were talking. I followed his glance as I noticed him glance at a certain direction.

"Ry? Ry." I said to him, until I saw that same girl that was with Audrey at the park.

"Oh, why isn't it the chick that saved you from the goose?" Jonas joked.

"Shut up." Ryan chuckled, until he walked up to her when she and some other girl were passing by us.

"So.. Heyyy uhh.." Ryan trailed off like an idiot, suddenly all nervous and trying to remember her name. He was usually a chatty mess, but when it came to girls, it was a whole other story. "Michelle right?" He asked the girl, suddenly remembering the name.

She nodded, blushing lightly.
"Yeah."

"So, what are you doing here?"

I couldn't help but facepalm at his stupid question, man was this guy hella nervous.

"Well, for starters... I come to this school." She responded, an amused look on her face.

"Oh-oh!! Right!! Yeah- of course." he stammered. "I don't know where my mind was at."

She laughed softly. As the two talked, I realized we only had a few minutes to get to our next class.

"Ryan," I elbowed him.

"Ryan!" I repeated.

"Huh?" He looked at me.

"The bells gonna ring soon. We're leaving, you probably should too."

Ryan nodded. "Right, I'll see you guys soon. Bye Joe, bye Liz, Bye Zack." he said to all of us before looking back at Michelle.

"Guess we should go now." Jonas shrugged. "Let's leave the lovebirds alone." Jonas smirked as we started walking. As we walked to class, Blake, Emma and Lizzy's younger brothers talked to each other. Jonas smiled at the sight of his little sister enjoying herself. "Wow, look at them. They're all getting along so well."

"It's amazing how quickly kids get along.." I commented as I looked over at them. Jonas nodded in agreement. "Too bad that comes to an end when you get older." Yup, as much as it sucks, thats how it was.

As you get older, the friendships come to an end, friends become more toxic, and you soon realize how much better solitude is. When you're young, it feels like being lonely is the worst thing in the world, it also tends to feel as such. But when you grow you realize how much better off you are alone than with those snakes that people become.

"Hey, Liz. I've been looking for ya." Some dude said as he walked over, grinning as he wrapped an arm around her. He looked back at us, his smile turning into a curious look on his face.

"Who are these little freshmen you're hanging out with?" He snorted.

"Just a few old friends of mine." Liz responded, with a smile.

"Well hi Lizzy's freshmen friends." He started to say, just smirking as she gave him a look. "I'm Ty. Liz's boyfriend."

"Wait, hold up. You got a boyfriend Liz? And you never told us?" Jonas joked. "Well, Lizzy has us too. So watch yourself dude." Jonas laughed, soon going dead serious by the 2nd sentence though.

"Treat her right." Though the tone of his voice made it sound like a playful threat, I'm knew Jo well enough to know when he was dead serious with his words. He could be chuckling as he says something, but I knew him long enough to be able to tell when he's not messing around. For Tyler's own sake, I hope he really does take care of Liz, despite being younger, Jo's always been protective over her.
