Chapter Thirty One: I don't know. I literally can't think of a title for this chapter.

Mason and I spent the remainder of the car trip, poking fun at each other and listening to music on the radio.

When we had arrived at the school parking lot, I noticed practically everyone was gawking at Mason's car. I didn't blame them. But what did worry me though, was that some stupid tenth graders were going to key his car. Actually, no. I would pay to see the look on Mason's face, so I decided to remain quite. I know, I'm horrible, but it's Mason we're talking about here; he would be fine. It's just one car—and he's rich—he could just buy another one. Right?

"They better keep their hands off my car," Mason warned, as he stepped out his car. He walked to where I was waiting for him, by the path that lead to the school's entrance.

"It's not guaranteed. This school is pretty wild, by the way. Especially when you're the new boy, people will take advantage of that," I looked at him, and smiled. I know he's not really the "new boy" anymore, because it's almost been three weeks. But it was still kind of funny.

He furrowed his eyebrows.

"I'm not somebody to be taken advantage of. If they do shit to my car, I'll make them pay."

I looped my thumb around my backpack strap. Something told me that Mason wasn't lying. The thought of him getting into a fight, was kind of funny. Just image Mason jumping someone...no, I just can't. Yes, he radiated some type of dangerous energy, but not that kind of dangerous. Almost like an adventurous type of dangerous. He was a risk-taker.

We met Joanna and Ayesha chatting amongst themselves by the main door. Today the school was packed with students. Usually Monday's weren't as popular.

"Hey Sofia, Hey Mason" Joanna greeted when we walked to them. Mason gave her a polite smile.

"You guys are back? I thought you were still at that business party thing", Ayesha queried. We started walking into the school building. The inside wasn't as busy as it was outside, so we could walk in a line.

"We arrived in Canada yesterday. I tried calling you, but Joanna said you were busy." I unlocked the door to my locker. Mason's locker was two doors away from mine, and right beside Joanna's, so they walked off together.

"Sorry about that. I had a project due today that I left until last minute. Really bad idea by the way, I slept at three am," she whined, and held out her hands to carry the load of book I gave to her.

I shut my locker, and took the books from Ayesha's outstretched hands, and placed them inside my open backpack.

"Hey, I've got to get some books from my locker. Catch you in English?" Ayesha told me, and I nodded.

"Sure." She blew me a kiss, and strolled away. Mason and Joanna were still at their lockers. They seemed to be in deep conversation, because Mason's face was masked with confusion.

"Hey, what's going on?" I questioned, when I approached them. I stood beside Joanna, as she fumbled with the lock for her locker. "Shit! I forgot my combination," she hit the locker with her open palm, but it didn't budge.

"Maybe try report it to the janitor, instead of assaulting the poor thing," Mason chuckled, as he shut his locker door. Joanna shook her head.
