Chapter Thirty Two: Sofia the first Vergara

The first three classes of the morning, weren't so bad.

Clarissa and Ayesha were of course infuriated, when I informed them on what happened between Toni and I that morning. Clarissa threatened to TP her house, but I refused. They lived one neighborhood away from each other, and it wasn't the first time Clarissa had TP'd Toni's house. It was like they had this massive on-going TP house war, that wouldn't end anytime soon. It was kind of amusing.

But even with Clarissa and Ayesha being their usual funny selves the entire duration of our first two classes, I couldn't help but glance at Mason every now and then. He sat at the back of each class, with a group of girls surrounding him. Way too eager girls.

Wherever he sat—they sat—and a burning sensation in my chest began to form every time a girl would flirt with him mercilessly. I tried looking away, but a certain pull forced me to keep staring at him, like some kind of psycho. I studied him carefully, every time. I noticed when he got nervous around one of the many girls, he would constantly run his hands through his wavy locks, or chew on his bottom lip. But he never blushed. And it made me wonder, why?

The last class I had with Benny, Leo and Tristan, who were AWOL today. It was understandable, since they had just been held in a jail cell less than two days ago. For that class, I sat with the cheer team. I barely said a word to them, though. It was sometimes hard for me to be very open or confident in a group of people I barely knew. Unless they held a sort of trustable energy, or safe vibe, it was hard to step out of my comfort zone.

A wave of relief passed by me, when the bell for our lunch break rang.

I put an apple on my lunch tray, and walked to where I usually sat in the large cafeteria. To nobody's surprise, our table was packed with some of our schools Jocks, Cheer team, and a few other popular individuals.

As I was about to sit next to Clarissa, I noticed Benny, Leo and Tristan in a heated conversation with the rest of the table. I hadn't expected them to come to school today. They probably came by for the last period.

I put my lunch tray on the table, and squeezed next to Clarissa and Mason. "What's going on?" I asked Clarissa and she let out a huge breath.

"The boys are bragging about their jail fiasco," she rolled her eyes. I furrowed my eyebrows but she waved me off.

Ah, I knew why she was upset. Her and Leo were kind of an on and off thing, and I assumed she hated the fact that he was bragging about a situation that could possibly ruin his reputation. I understood.

"Dude, I don't even fucking know what happened, but next thing you know—BAM— the po-po's are on our ass."

I leaned in. Leo was currently telling the group how they got arrested. Joanna however, looked slightly uncomfortable, as Tristan joined in on the storytelling.

"Bro, I'm not even kidding when I tell you my heart fucking dropped," He exclaimed, and looked at Benny who was seated beside him.

Benny shook his head, and used his fingers to rub his forehead. "I'm never driving again. Well not that I have a choice..."
