Chapter 4: Payback and breakdown

Betty's POV 

J- That couple right there, jeez I'm sorry. You know it's all fun and play Betty. I know I know about the guy.

I turned around to see what couple he was talking about. When I saw Toby, I couldn't believe it. I knew things were not going good with Toby, but I didn't want to think he was cheating. I really liked him, I hadn't really had a boyfriend in a really long time. It was hard with this job, even when I was in college I was a bit too busy. I was only able to date one guy, and we had to break up when I moved to New York after graduation. We were pretty serious, but long distance wasn't working and I decided it was better to end it. We were still friends, I haven't heard from him in a while though. But seriously Toby, he was so sweet and a gentleman. And he seemed to understand about my job. Of course he didn't know my real job,  so I told him I worked for a fashion magazine and wrote the articles for the magazines. Which was why I was always away, traveling around the world. I thought that since I had 2 months off, we could fix all of these distant problems. I was so tired of this job ruining all of my relationships. I love this job, I just wished I could have a love life. I have needs, just like everyone. I don't need a guy to be happy, never have and never will. I am happy by myself, I have survived all this time. But it would be nice to have someone to look forward to seeing, someone who listens about your problems and your day. Who is there for you emotionally and physically. And I have never had that, and I just thought I could try with Toby.

J- Betty?

J- Betts??? What's wrong?

B- Toby...it's him…... Toby

J- Toby as in your…

B- Yes Jughead,  as in my freaking boyfriend

J-  Umm… uh what do you want to do right?

B- Well I would love to kick his sorry ass, but it's not the best option is it?

J- Um yeah.. do you just want to leave?

B- Hell no, he's not getting off so easy.

J- Betty you are worrying, what are you going to do? 

B- Just watch 

J- Omg Betty, don't take that ……

I was going to give him a piece of my mind. No one way in hell will I ever let him see me suffering, I will always show how strong and confident I am. No way he will ever break me, not after I have been through. No one will ever break me, ever again.

B- Hello Toby

Toby- Um… Betty… what are...you doing...here

Seriously, stuttering and was that really what he could say.

B- Funny you ask me that, I guess you don't mind if I sit for a moment. 

Toby- Uhh.. 

B- That's what I thought, why don't you tell me your name.

I would never get mad at the girl, she's not responsible for the man's actions. She is not the one who's in the relationship and is responsible for the decisions and actions that are committed. 

B- So tell me what is your name?

Allison- My name is Allison, and yours?

B-  What a pretty name , mines Betty. And Allison what brings you here?

Toby- Betty I….

I could see that Allison didn't have a single stupid hair, she knew something was up.

B- I'm not talking to you Toby, In talking to Allison

Allison- We were coming from a vacation from Miami.

B- Ouu, exciting, especially considering Toby, you told me you had been working this whole week. That you were excited to see me later tonight, after I have been working abroad. Super interesting, well I see everything is cleared here. Allison I think you are very pretty and seem really nice, and smart because I can see that you caught up fast. Well I'm done here, enjoy your life. Oh wait one more thing.

I dumped my milkshake right In his supposedly perfect hair. Oh I loved his face expression, not as good as Allison. I'm pretty sure she didn't like being lied to. 

Allison- Omg, I like you, but you know what can go with this milkshake 

Betty- I would love to know Allison

Allison- These fries 

Omg Allison was full on savage, it felt amazing to have a girl react to this, with cheating. Can't believe she caught up so fast, I'm loving her right now.

B- You are so right, so I think I'm done here. I'm leaving, bye Allison. 

Allison- Bye Betty 

This was amazing, I was so happy with how it turned out. 

J- Ummm what was that Betts, that was incredible.

B- Well Jug I have more tricks than you know. 

I said with a wink, wanting to tease him like he does to me.

J- I would love to know them, for mission purposes.

B- Sure thing Jug, for mission purposes

J- Whatever Betts, don't be sarcastic with me.

B- Whatever you say Juggie

J- Hey.. are you sure you're okay. I mean you handle it like wow, I'm speechless. But it must have hurt seeing that.

B- I'm fine Jug don't worry, now if you excuse me I need to go to the bathroom. 

J- Betts..?

B- Jug I need to pee, don't worry

J- Alright sorry for asking, that was TMI Betts 

I rushed to the bathroom, I didn't want Jug to see me sad. It really did hurt. I don't even know how I was able to play it that cool. I really thought for once I could try to make a relationship work. Just for once to have someone there for me. But life always tends to throw you on a different path, I just hope for the better. 

I reached the one person bathroom and just sat on the bench. And just started bawling my eyes out, I couldn't help it. I was holding everything in. I had everything bottled up, my work, my personal life. Once the first tear fell from my eyes, I just couldn't stop myself from crying. 

J- Betts?
